Well Cowell doesn't have much to say about it... but the NYPost and Politico sure do.

Hey, what happened?
Your libel against Mass Effect and gamers has vanished! Did you actually do some research and come to your senses? Does that mean a real apology for lying in the article and slandering gamers also coming? Or did someone force you to take it down to avoid legal action? Or did the site management make you take it down to try to salvage some journalistic integrity for your peers?

No it's not!
One candidate has led the pack once again with "A FAIR DEAL FOR ALL AMERICANS: Five Principles of a Mike Huckabee Stimulus Package"

I think it rocks!

hey joe...
You know what? I'm going to stop calling you Kevin. Your new name is Joe. Joe McCarthy. So who in the games industry should we blacklist for being a sex fiend?

justice
"I'm not arguing censorship. I'm saying we are under no obligation to make it as easy as possible to find whatever excrement coated trash is out there and put into the hands of children whose parents AREN'T doing the job they should be.

A society, especially a free one, has the obligation to govern morally, with justice for all."

Justice for all. I'm an adult who likes adult things, including sex. So if Mass Effect if made more difficult to obtain because of a three minute sex scene, how is that justice for me? How is that justice for the parents who can bother to be a parent to their children? If you can't be bothered to take care of your children, that not my problem, or the governments problem, or the game makers problem. I hate to tell you this, but Republicans are for LESS governmental control of society, especially a free one. Are you sure you're not a Democrat?

I WILL ALWAYS SPEAK UP!
Do us all a favor. Next time you speak up, DO SOME RESEARCH! It is not all the difficult, especially in the internet age. Perhaps you should try it.

And the reason we asserted that you had not played the game is not to point our your lack of "gamer cred" or some such ridiculous notion, but because you had obviously not done any amount of research beyond talking to your "gamer friends." If one of your "friends" told you that the new Tom Hanks movie featured Mr. Hanks sodomizing Kermit the Frog while spitting on a bible and wearing a Nazi uniform, would you look into it first, or go ahead and write the article based on what you heard? Because with Mass Effect, you just wrote the article without doing ANY RESEARCH! And then when you were called on your laziness, you responded by telling US THAT WE WERE WRONG AND YOU ARE RIGHT! You, sir, astound me with your arrogance. All of the scorn that you receive from the gaming community? You deserve every bit of it, and more. You are a liar and a poor excuse for a journalist. Another gamer told you to have a nice day, but honestly, you don't even warrant that.

Hey Kev
Since there are already many comments on the article itself, i thought that I would move the discussions here. First, thanks for the apology. It had all the meaning and passion of a five year old forced to apologize for stealing candy. Second, you then go on to say you were not lying at all. Yes, you were. You say that you heard about all the sex scenes from your "gamer friends." Obviously, you have no gamer friends, because everything you stated in the article was false. In fact, you could have simply done a google search to find videos of said horrible sex acts, but you couldn't even be bothered to do the most basic of research. Also, you go on to say that your statement "...the video game "persons" hump in every form, format, multiple, gender-oriented possibility they can think of" is true. Really? Because I didn't see every form (unless you think there are only two or three things to do in bed...), format (wheres the furry love?), multiple (unless you count a couple engaged in lovemaking as being multiple), gender-oriented (there was no male homosexual sex scenes).

Maybe you should stop
with the pop culture references until you can be trusted to use them.

Although I am glad to see you have refrained from any sort of substance or extended commentary in your posts. The less you type, the less has to be factually corrected.

I have to ask though, does Simon Cowell promote "online virtual orgasmic rape"? Does American Idol have the "most realistic sex ever concieved"? Are contestants "copulating like jack rabbits with super-models, actresses, and anyone else they can spend the patience to create, name, and "put into play"?

Why no fantastic lies about American Idol? It's what we've come to expect from a person of your caliber. That's why I'm such a big fan of your work.

Come on, throw us a bone, how about just one of your trademark tales of non-existent sodomy. Maybe insinuate that everyone who watches the show might be prone to rape.

Give us that good old yellow journalism of yours.
