 Pinko-Cowards!
It is amazing that someone who reads THIS. Can turn around and say: Just another made up story by another CONservative that can't be verified because no names were given and more likely than not didn't feel the urge themselves to serve their country in its time of need because they are perfectly happy being the cowards they are and letting others sons, daughters, siblings,do the fighting for them while they pretend to care just as the government does in their care for those coming back with missing limbs,PTSD,etc!~Robert Arnold (arnold92430@yahoo.com)
Feel free to drop Robert a note and give him your thoughts... especially if you know of a person who has been through S.E.R.E. school and can testify to the portrayal of the program included there.
Mr. Arnold would certainly be enlightened by your perspective.
The Big Lie that Kevin and his ilk must continue to push is that support/concern for the military is based almost exclusively on blind, unwavering, unquestioning allegiance to George W. Bush and his failed policies.
Those Bush/Cheney policies have killed thousands of our soldiers, wounded even more (and put them in hell-holes such as Walter Reed), created more terrorists than before 9/11 and left our nation less safe.
Sadly, the Big Lie has worked. |

Support for the military means not calling them baby-killers as John Kerry did...
Support for the military means not accusing them of things they did not do as John Murtha did...
Support for the military means not to label them racist as Charlie Rangel did...
Support for the military means not accusing them of things they did not do as Nancy Pelosi did...
Support for the military means not to label them unintelligent as John Kerry did...
Support for the military means not claiming they were reckless murders like members of the Congressional Black Caucus did...
None of this has anything to do with blindly following ANYONE... |

Again, Kevin, you failed to miss address one SINGLE point of my posting.
You are nothing is not predictable. |

Was not honest because you equated support for the troops only under the guise of support for Bush/Cheney.
Which the article had no reference to at all.
You keep coming on this site yammering about loyalty to Bush... which 80% of the time is completely irrelevant to the discussion being had (as in this case.)
Goat hates Bush... we all get it.
But the debate over ideas still goes on.
So how 'bout instead of tangeting off onto your own Bush is the devil subject with every comment you make, how 'bout you respond to the presuppositions made in the actual posts.
That's what most everyone else does, and all it shows to every one watching is how you are unable to defend any position except "Bush is the devil."
Sad little goat... |

...That someone would take this heartfelt statement of support and admiration for the troops and turn it into a partisan smear! I'm not speaking of Robert Arnold here, I'm speaking of Kevin McCullough and the following idiotic, intentionally misleading excerpt:
"That is something the left does not share. They scorn their existence, mock their mission, belittle their purpose, dedication, and commitment. From John Kerry's implication that only stupid people go into the military..."
First of all, this is great evidence that McCullough does not respect his readership. John Kerry certainly was never able to deliver a joke well, but it is clear to absolutely anyone who heard the "implication" in question that Kerry was attempting to make fun of President Bush, not the troops. McCullough is simply hoping that his readership won't be familiar with the incident, and trying to take advantage of that ignotance. Very sad.
But beyond that simple little deception is a larger pathetic notion, parroted often by conservatives who want, as conservatives often do, to appear morally superior to everyone else. Because the left doesn't support the war, they don't support the troops. This cheap slam is typical of people with a such a simplified world view that they see this situation as a Good vs. Evil struggle in which only the bad men die.
These members of the "culture of life" can't face the truth about this, or they'd have to realize that in blindly supporting every war effort (name ONE the "values voters" have opposed!) they're no better than the lowly mortals who have abortions, use contraceptives, and sleep in on Sunday. When it comes right down to it, you're not better than the rest of us. And maybe you'd claim that you don't think you are, but your words say otherwise. |
