Public Plans, Dictates, and Lies

Do you see where Nancy Pelosi is standing? Do you see the building that she is front of? Do you understand that "We the People" own the property on which she stands? Do you understand that the "plan" she was there to "champion" will be enacted upon the people to whom she answers to?

Does she understand that we are her boss, and not the other way around?

A few facts to remember about Ms. Pelosi's dog and pony display today...

1. The bill she was discussing, lauding, and claiming to be the ultimate solution today was crafted entirely in secret.

2. The "three committees" that she praised for doing the hard work on the bill met in private and excluded any and all Independent or Republican input on the initiative.

3. Pelosi did not even allow "We The People" aka "The Public" to be present at the announcement of her "public plan" today on public grounds at the publicly owned Capitol building grounds where I myself stood on 9.12 and addressed 1.2 million people.

Arrogance personified are the democrats at present. They believe that in proclaiming the emergence of these health care reform measures, that the announcements of these bills drafted in secret will somehow satisfy the issue of transparency.

Her bill is nearly 2000 pages long, requires you and I to fund the public option regardless of whether or not our individual state "opts out" of the public option plan.

She claims it will cost less than $900 billion. Harry Ried says the Senate version will cost more than $2 trillion. Splitting the difference between the two bills will put the price tag at $3,333 per PERSON in the United States. So a family of four will eventually be forced to cough up $13,000 to get the "free" plan, and that's even IF they have health insurance from their employer.

States opting out is a joke because while they can refuse the "benefits" there is nothing in the language that keeps the states from having to "pay into" the plans. And if they "opt out" of the public option plan it is highly likely that the Fed will hold all other state help on health costs, i.e. Medicare or Medicaid, and a dangled carrot to be involved. So long story short, because there is no way the states WON'T opt in.

Meaning, these two bills, as we have been saying all along will lead to the destruction and end of the private sector health insurance industry all together.

But let me add one more tidbit here...

We were told that Cash 4 Clunkers would run the tax-payers a cost of $4500 per transaction. That was the amount of money "We The People" would pay people to turn in their junkers so that we could crush and dispose of them.

But as it turns out, when you subtracted the "sellable" cars that were turned in and would have sold anyway, "We The People" ended up spending $24,000 for each one of the rest of the junkers involved.

So "We The People" were told we were spending $4500 per car, but when it was adjusted we spent $24,000 which is 5.33 times the amount we believed we were spending.

If the government types who were in charge of the financing on that deal are the same ones who will be left watching the amount spent on health care you can safely expect the price tag for "free health care" to be equal to $17,764 PER PERSON of any age (including all illegals, babies, and institutionalized folks.) It will cost the average family of four $71,059 to get the "free public option plan."

And I will be shocked if the price tag came in that low given how the most recent entitlement, the horrific drug option plan put forward by President Bush, has not even come in close to the original cost projections.

A bad deal is a bad deal. The "public option" is not "free health care" as so many moronic Obama-zombie-bots have been brainwashed into thinking.

Health Care costs.

And when it is the federal government providing it, it will literally bankrupt the nation (unless you believe the average family has $70,000 sitting around to give to their type 2 diabetic neighbor so that they can continue to eat sugar and receive forced coverage.)

And when it goes bankrupt, rationing will set in... politics will determine who gets what procedures, and death panels will be making decisions that families should be the ones making.

READ THE BILL people, if they ever let us. And don't allow an over-reaching federal government to drive us into personal and corporate bankruptcy just to scratch a socialist itch that should've been dead YEARS ago!

Your 30% figure from MSNBC is incorrect.
Here’s some truth for you - Health insurance profits rank #35 on the list of top 50 for profit entities. Profits barely exceeded 2 percent of revenues in the latest annual measure.

You say NO ONE makes that much money off the backs of hardworking Americans like that - George Soros, Bill Gates, well, you get the idea......
Another piece of information: You say the republicans did nothing for eight years on this urgent need - Wrong - Bush many times suggested allowing people to enroll in the Federal Employees Health Plan and when either party was in the majority in the House - they balked and said it would be too expensive.
Obama has mentioned several times that healthcare reform has been a consideration since Teddy Roosevelt was president - so how urgent does it make this?
Increased taxes and government giveways - to businesses and individuals - this is what is robbing us every day.

Spontaneous obviously hasn't read KMC
for very long...

Because only a moronic nimrod could claim that KMC did anything BUT complain when the Bush administration was spending, particularly on the drug benefit and the bailouts...

I thought KMC was going to blow a gasket.

Spontaneous is perhaps a mentally afflicted retard but that doesn't mean he gets to make stuff up either.

And one last thing Mr. Poop-for-brains Spontaneous, can you name legislation that Bush passed by keeping it entirely in secret?

Especially in his first year?

It seems there were a couple of very BIG pieces of legislation that had Democrat and Republican input on them that passed in his first year:

1. No Child Left Behind - Bush reached out specifically to Ted Kennedy...
2. The Bush tax cuts which had broad bi-partisan support and several Democrats were even invited and appeared on stage with the President for the signing ceremony.

Only a person who should have their nose shoved into a pile of feces would argue that Bush did things without broad bi-partisan support legislatively.

That's in contrast to the current administration that literally has locked Republicans and Independents out of the rooms where the shaping of the bills was taking place.

The Pelosi/Obama/Soros America.

WEAK, SECULAR AND SOCIALIST.

..................................................................................................

On all on three levels they're succeeding.

After only ten months!

Another ten months of this chaos and they'll have America on the verge of meltdown.

Than...............................

They'll be happy.

This is why you guys are so reviled, arch. You can't comprehend a single thing without twisting it into your own distorted POV. Here's some advice: whenever you read or hear something, don't trust your instincts - get a second opinion outside your fart bubble.

I am not making fun of AIDS, you asshat. But to follow your logic, Shillian was doing just that in her rant - as though having AIDS and eating oysters is a "behavior" issue that shouldn't affect HER love for the slimy shellfish.

Arch says

You were too using the dreaded disease AIDS as a prop for your intended humor. Don't try to deny it. You are heartless and AIDSophobic. Most of your friends are dying of AIDS and you use it without human compassion for your own ends.

Here is your own words used to prove it!

Spontaneous writes:
"we'll all chalk it up to your own obstinate behavior - or figure you had AIDS."

Arch says Ha! Ha! Vary funny. I am sure all the AIDS victims are laughing their as s off!

Healthcare NOW makes no sense "economically speaking", you asshat. It's why we have to do something, and yet for 8 years and now this past year, the GOP has done nothing to fix the problem. They only obstruct and whine. There are ways to keep costs down, but you and your fellow buffoons are too stupid to know what is best for you and this country. Instead, you huddle protectively around the industry that is taking us all for a ride - the one that skims 30% profit off the top of our private health care payments to add to their own personal slush funds and offshore bank accounts. NO ONE makes that much money off the backs of hardworking Americans like that, and yet you doofs rally behind the behemoths stealing our pensions, college funds and retirement $$ for their own insatiable greed.

And in the end, you blame Obama. What complete ignoramuses you are.

Arch says.

Spont. I knew you hated anyone who made a profit!
But guess what? That is what makes the world go round and round! Economic idiot that you are, I can forgive your ignorance but never suffer it!!

Oh, bull sh*t, KMC
You miserable hack.

Not ONCE did you whine like a stuck piglet when Bush and his GOP-controlled Congress went behind closed doors to fashion their secret bills without a single Dem involved. Making this stupid point NOW only shows us how completely immoral you are as a pinheaded partisan asswipe.

And here's the thing, gang: Pelosi and the majority in the House AND the Senate have watered down this freaking bill to ACCOMMODATE the Party of NO and the sell-out Dems who STILL won't cooperate in any meaningful way. You've had all summer and fall to help craft this thing - instead your Party did NOTHING but obstruct. You know it, you miserable HACK, and your lemmings know it too.

I wouldn't mind if you were just a partisan buffoon, but to lie? You are the worst kind of shill out there, KMC.

Amateurish assha

Arch says

Spont. Good old GW wasn't trying to socialize the nation now was he? Nope. See the difference? One party tries to liberate in secret and the other tries to enslave in secret!

Which do you prefer?

Your incorrect English!!
The bill requires "you and ME to fund the public option..." not "I".
tribeck writes: Thursday, October, 29, 2009 6:54 PM
KevinMc - Good Job!
You actually argued against the President's Policy without attacking him on a personal level. I guess Change is Possible:)

The health care bill can never make sense economically speaking. The best we can hope for, is a vote with less than 60 senators so that the next president can change the health care plan being proposed.

The opponents did well when they educated the public about the President's POLICY and why it was not the right policy. Then they took a sharp left, got corky and started attacking the President at a PERSONAL level. This turned the tide back to 'the public option is good' and now the the train can't be stopped.

Simply put, focusing on policy without attacking the President at a personal level will be the best way to change the 'hearts and minds of americans'.

otherwise - take two asprins, pick a number and wait for your death panel counseling.
