 "Business" of Congress?
Immigration, Economy, War, Socialized Health Care -- major issues? NO!! The dems have investigated only the truely important issues in the country: MLB Phew, I feel better.
This is the stupidest waste of tax payer dollars. Boy, we did need a change -- maybe they can investigate whether or not there are drugs used in the music business. Vote dem for more of the same idiocy. Change that is real!!LOLOLOL ouch, just fell outta my chair laughing.
Dems need to sell stupid to someone else - I am Republican and won't buy it.

THANK GOODNESS THE CONGRESS, DOING THE PEOPLE'S BUSINESS, HAS NOTHING MORE SERIOUS AND/OR IMPORTANT TO INVESTIGATE OR ON WHICH TO WASTE TIME, MONEY AND RESOURCES THAN MLB AND HGH. TO THOSE WHO WILL NOW CLAIM "IT'S ABOUT PERJURY, LYING UNDER OATH", SO WHAT, THAT REALLY DIDN'T SEEM TO BE A BIG DEAL ABOUT A DECADE AGO. AFTER ALL, SOMEONE'S ONLY LYING ABOUT BASEBALL (NOT SEX), AND HE'S NOT EVEN AN ELECTED OFFICIAL. NOTWITHSTANDING ALL THE CLAIMS/ASSERTIONS AND HAND WRINGING ON WHAT BAD SHAPE THE U.S IS IN, IT IS THIS WHICH WAXMAN CHOOSES TO SPEND TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY. PRIORITIES ANYONE? I agree that No one is talking about Bonds right now. The Sports media hates Bonds and Clemons, so they are enjoying this. I think they hate Bonds more.
I do have a problem with Congress investigating a problem that should be handled within MLB. Bud S. needs to step down, he is an idiot. Please don't give me that anti-trust law deal also; you baseball Gov't lovers. It is a waste of tax payer time and money. The opportunity cost for this time and money can go some where else...like cutting back the size of the Fed Gov't |

when millions of American kids look up to these ball players using dope to enhance performance. If our kids aren't important to you all, fine. But they are to me, as is keeping down suicides and major physical, mental and emotional damage done to the kids who emulate their heroes by doping to win/compete.

To get congressional democrats off his back, Roger Clemens should say that he did it so he could have sex with interns, it made him look younger, and/or that he was trying to give a hand up to an illegal immigrant trying to make a living bringing prescription drugs over the Mexican border. Now, if he could somehow say the 20 year old intern that he wanted to have sex with was a drug dealer who made her way across the border illegally, he will be home free with the democrats.
