It seems ridiculous to have to state this but the conviction of Scooter Libby only means one thing.

In the eyes of the jury it means he lied about what he told prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.

It does not mean:
       1. That one iota of intelligence was in any way manipulated in the run up to Iraq.
       2. That Joe Wilson has been vindicated in any way.
       3. That Valerie Plame was "covert".
       4. That the Bush White House had anything to worry about from Wilson/Plame.

Don't be fooled by all the spinmeisters attempting to turn this into the Watergate of the Bush era. It's not.

And everyone knows it...

Except Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame...

Get some credibility buddy.
If Valerie Plame wasn't covert, why did the CIA ask the Justice Dept. to start an investigation?

As for your #1, that works both ways. Libby's conviction also does not mean intelligence wasn't manipulated.

Investigations that showed...
That no one outed an agent that was already well known by even her neighbors to be working for the CIA.

It was one of the worst kept "secrets" in DC if she was in fact covert.

You kool-aid drinkers can't even keep your trials straight. This was a perjury trial for Libby who could not remember who he had said what to.

It had nothing to do with any substance of the matter - which even Fitzgerald admitted - SHOWED that no one outed anyone...

Try to keep up...

Hey MuscleHead.
Funny you should mention kool-aid drinkers because your thirst has obviously been sated. The Libby trail was also about obstruction of justice. Remember that part?

As Fitzgerald explained with his baseball analogy of someone throwing sand in the eyes of the umpire as the ball is being thrown, Libby tried to impede the investigation into who leaked Plame's name. He threw sand in Fitzgerald's eyes during the Grand Jury testimony. Why do that unless there is something to hide?

Lie to yourself as much as you want to, but that doesn't change the fact that Bush, Cheney and Rove are all traitors to this country. They don't care about our national security. Outing an undercover CIA operative working on WMDs in Iraq (of all places) is proof of that.
