Wilberforce... another reason I may see a movie this weekend...

My listeners have been telling me that I MUST see this film.

I don't go see a ton of films. (I used to.) But this film is something that I just really think I need to MAKE the time and just do it...

my review
'Amazing Grace' is a wonderful film. It ties into the song quite nicely and I will not spoil your enjoyment of it by telling you anything else except for the fact that if you get through the end of the film with tearing up you have a hole in your soul. A fine English movie with lovely photography and the Brits do period pieces better than anyone else (I especially like the lovely ladies with comely bosoms) because they've been around for 1000 years for God's sake (both the Brits and the bosoms - probably the bosoms have been here a bit longer) and we Yanks have been around for only a few centuries and we don't know how to do it yet. Give us a few more centuries. WTF am I talking about? Remember ' Seabiscuit' when the owner who will buy Seabiscuit is looking for a trainer and one of his friends recommends a woman trainer? First - there were no woman trainers in them days. Second - The friends describes the woman trainer he is recommending as a 'horseperson.' No way. That word was never even thought of until recently and so to put it into a movie about something that was happening 70 years ago is nothing more than a concession to some silly modern thing. If mr. McCullough sees this film and decides to grace us with his review of it, will he be able to keep the word LIBERAL out of his review? my 2 cents says he can't.
