I missed her appearance on Hannity & Colmes last night, but having just seen the appearance on YouTube I have to say - she's killin' me.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck has been a refreshing voice and face in the muck over at the view. I am frequently discouraged that she is not nearly quick enough in thinking on her feet while going up against Rosie. So when I saw that she had been on H&C I thought it would be a refreshing thing as well...

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with the sloppy thinking and one-step capitulation she gives in to.

I agree that the marketplace did "speak". Sponsors were already signifying that they would be pulling the plug and MSNBC along with CBS have obligations to stockholders.

Where I found Hasselbeck heading into La-La-Land was when she refused to hold Rosie O'Donnell (perhaps one of the most vile people in media today) to the same standard as Imus.

Hasselbeck is a kind hearted person. She seems to desire to be a principled conservative. But she does not have the gravitas to stare-down Rosie and for her to pretend on H&C that she does verges on ridiculous.

Hasselbeck
Wow

Sorry she broke your heart..

Heavy..

Maybe she was afraid.

Or maybe she is intimidated by Miss O'Donnell (Not saying it's right, but could be possible..)

Or maybe the networks knew exactly what they were doing by placing a conservative up to speak, who cannot speak in a strong, or calm manner for issues o' the day.

I am not a viewer of this show, and did not see this interview, and am not a fan of hers either way, so really can't say. I *do* know we have seen Christians, and some conservatives, misrepresented on tv shows, as of late, when they've been advocating a conservative, or Biblical view.

Just recently we saw a man sweat and stammer a bit on another show I don't watch regularly, Oprah. he had great things to say, but Ms. Winfrey's 'tude towards him was outrageous. She gave him not legs to stand on in the interview. We were praying for him.

I don't put so much stock in those kinds of things..

Confidence can come with age, and isn't this gal kind of a newbie?

It must be hard, for some to not succumb to the fear of man and a wish for popularity, especially
at that age.

Who knows what has been done to shut her up.

I'm sure you're aware of those kinds of things..

And let's not forget the bigotry against conservatives on network tv in general, and ABC.

How much is just a need to be liked, and favored, and a wish for popularity, or an in ability to speak strongly, who can say?

Elizabeth Hasselback
I used to watch the view until the anti american Rosie Odonnell continued to run her lying mouth about Bush and the total lie of how 9/11 happened. Now, you would think Elizabeth would stand up against her and defend the Bush admin but no, she cowers to the blowhard every time!!!!Then last night on Hannity, I couldn't believe how she continued to take up for the "queen of lies" and would not say anything about the ranting that's been going on...That's why Barbara and Rosie like her being a part of the show, she has no back bone. So by keeping her, noone can say to Barbara there isn't a conservative on the show...Well, they're right there isn't a conservative on the show because the so called conservative there never defends or stands up for the party. The new name of the show should be "THE LIBERAL VIEW AND NOTHING ELSE"!!!!!

I Should Add
I should add, the guest on Oprah's show, this man, we one speaking from a Bible-based perspective.
He was actually advocating using the Bible as a source of study in public schools.

Oprah's tooth marks were still in him, come station break :-(

Sad
I'm just very greive about the firing. Where were these "christians" such as Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton when Rosie bad mouthed christians. Rosie should have been fired as well. I'm greive b/c even though I'm an african-american, I'm a born-again christian first; only b/c the Holy Spirit lives in me. God had open my eyes in my heart. I used to follow those "civil rights black leader" where I was out in the world, but now I realize I been deceived. Anyway, to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, black or white, stay away from Jesse and Al!!!

One more thing
I don't watch the view a lot but I listened to Elizabeth and there's no back bone to her views. Is she conservative??? Very hard to believe.
