The book I am in the midst of writing now addresses the many results of the modern feminist movement. It is a movement that emphasizes "sameness" of gender as opposed to equality.
One sad result of modern feminism becoming the predominant world-view is that men begin to be thought of as less than fully equal - and assuming we'd rather be lied to than told the truth demonstrates this mindset well...
