I'm STILL 'da man!

If Rick Warren thought he caught grief three years ago when he started inviting Barack Obama to come preach his Gospel of Condoms at the Saddleback annual AIDS conference - just wait till this gets out.

The Saddleback AIDS/HIV conference is now officially being co-sponsored by "Faith in Public Life" which is little more than a "religious" shill organization for all things leftist. But FiPL's president, who will appear at the conference, is a militant lesbian who has engaged in homosexual advocacy for years.

When Rick Warren was questioned about the group's involvement he claimed their co-sponsorship meant little. Warren claims Saddleback is still "in control" of the agenda and messaging of the conference.

Does anyone believe that? Co-sponsors become co-sponsors by putting up part of the costs of the event and in return - they seek some degree of influence, profit, or opportunity to distribute materials in return.

It's bad enough Warren never rebuffed Obama's doctrine of condom use and reckless sexual habits, as a supposed teacher of scripture he is OBLIGATED to do so. But to now actually engage in co-sponsorship with groups that oppose the biblical teaching he professes to remain faithful to is beyond the pale.

And the evangelical world should speak quickly and firmly in the process...

Pastor Impostor and the Messi-Uh..

These two are so comlementary.. self-serving, religious snake-oiled Narcissists, etc.. Wonder if The Rev Rick is being considered as Nobama's VP?

Rick Warren
the Bible tells us in the last days there will be many that will not put up with sound doctrine, but will gather around them teachers who say what their itching ears WANT to hear! They will turn away from the truth and turn to myths. II Tim 4:3,4

My wife say the same old tired email about Oprah denying Christ, and how we must act! Has Oprah ever claimed Christ? If she has, just like Obama, we should ask, who is this Christ you claim? It is not the Christ of the Bible. So let's stop wasting time with all the silly Oprah "outrages", and spend that time informing each other of the real false teachers. I have tried to give Rick Warren the benefit of the doubt for a long time,no longer.
After checking on this story, more important to me is the fact that all but one or two of the leaders shown in Faith in Public Life's web page are from traditions that deny the very core beliefs of Christainity that Warren claims to teach. Very disturbing.

Church Discipline
These are honest questions, not veiled editorial.
Is Pastor Warren accountable to a church board such as a Board of Deacons, etc.?
Does his church have by-laws, checks and balances?
Most real churches have some system of church discipline.
Especially for ministers.
Or is he such a "big name" that he is effectively not accountable to anyone?

Where
in his writings and sermons/speeches does he
reference The Cross and Him Crucified?

Unless a preacher is preaching this Gospel,
there is no "Purpose" in his life.

There are church boards that just rubber stamp
whatever the pastor does, methinks Saddleback
has such a Board.

The reason such Elmer Gantry's get so successful
is because the people he cons are Biblical illiterates. And sad to say, there are a lot of
people that don't want to walk the walk, because]
it's costly. Christianity isn't for wimps.
He takes you through the fire, burning out the dross and it hurts..my husband and I know this
from personal experience.

This is disturbing.
When I first read Purpose Driven Church I had a lot of respect for the work that he did. Now... not so much.

Just an FYI - I posted your last blog on Warren on Facebook - and the gospel of condoms remark in it has sparked a debate with an old friend from high school.

I guess
When you make your living preaching, you'll have to eventually say and do what those who's lifestyles we would not support, just for the extra cash flow.

Warren has a huge home, nice cars (plural) and a very comfty lifestyle. He's just 'expanding' his business. And preaching to him, IS a business.
