Is her hand pulling his string?

We became very familiar not all that long ago with Michelle Obama's view that she lived most of her adult life not being proud of America. Further she only became proud of America when the Godless, progressive left nominated her husband for president.

Well here's some more elite scorn being dripped all over us now. Obama is embarrassed by the fact that we're not more European. Even though he himself is not bi-lingual.

Now... he is responding to all of it claiming "you keep using dis word, and I do not tink it means, what you tink it means..."

And since much of the Southside of Chicago, where he did all that volunteer work - and he's so proud of the results of, can barely read at a 4th grade level, wouldn't Mr. Obama think that learning English might be a good priority?

Then again, that would cause him to be "...talkin' down to black people."

There is no doubt that Obama is bright guy, you don't get to be the editor of the Harvard Law Review just on luck. The problem that Obama has - like so many Academics, Lawyers, Elites in the nation today... they live in pretend-land and the rest of us live... here. Obama should sit and consider carefully what his real vision for America is. In all honesty if he did he would refrain from coming off as always being smarter than everybody else in the room.

Or perhaps he has, and the vision he entails is one of frightening marxist ideas that no normal person would support and therefore he has to run a "retail campaign" (hope and change) to trick voters into supporting him until he has power - then running roughshod over their rights once in power. And if you look at his voting record, you already have a pretty clear idea of where he lines up along those lines...

But this is 2008 - who looks at things like voting records anymore...

Failure
You people must be genuinely afraid that this election could be a GOP disaster, yet you continue to fail at every attempt to demonize President-elect and Mrs. Obama.

Even Mrs. Bush has defended Mrs. Obama's poor choice of words. After a stint on "The View" in which she failed to breathe fire or spin her head around, Mrs. Obama has fixed her PR problems.

Now you need to pull Obama's foreign language comments out and try to squeeze an insult.

Of course he's right: if we really want our children to succeed in a Global Marketplace, they should have intense K-12 training in Mandarin Chinese and/or Spanish.

Maybe you’d have better luck going back to the the Madrassa/Muslim angle. It seemed to be getting a bit of traction, at least with the trailer park crowd.

Or, maybe try to give us one reason to vote FOR McCain, instead of the Anti-Obama science fiction.

Goat...
I never argued the Muslim angle... and I have pretty much denounced it at every turn.

Even when my Arab barber two weeks ago proclaimed steadfastly that he believed Obama to be Muslim - I criticized him for it and reject his opinion.

Having said that - Obama IS a Marxist - in the classic sense.

His record is clear...

And he is the only elected United States Senator that has voted against American citizens being given the protection of the most American guarantees - LIFE - even OUTSIDE the womb.

You love him - great.

Do I think the GOP prospects are slim? Absolutely - if you read my column you would already know that I was the first national pundit to predict Obama's election to both the nomination AND the presidency.

But that doesn't mean that I think he will be good for the country. And as someone who has followed his career for years before he was on the national stage, I know of where I speak.

"Love"
I hardly "Love" Obama.

However, I lost all respect for McCain in 2000 when he allowed Bush to get away with personally attacking his wife and children in South Carolina.

If McCain had punched W right in the eye for that in defence of his family, I would then admire and respect McCain. But, he let it slide by.

That said, I am not at all happy about Obama. Hillary was my girl. Obama is too nice for this job. I liked Hillary's pit bull ruthlessness.

I am voting for Obama for one reason only: the Supreme Court. I am terrified that our Bill of Rights have been severly damaged by W, Cheney and the so-called "Patriot Act," and that the Constitutional balance of power has been skewered too far to the Executive Branch. The next appointee or two might make the decision(s) to restore the our Constitution to it's pre-Bush/Cheney splendor.

The American people are too stupid and lazy to actually read the "Patriot Act" and learn that it is a direct threat to our most cherished and beloved rights.

Yet again....
.... I won't be voting "for" one candidate. I'll be voting "against" another.

I look forward to the day when I can happily vote FOR someone.
