ALL OF THIS is being done with the ultimate idea in mind of reconciling Ann to the heart of the conservative cause. This video - in all probability will be going very viral, very shortly:
The proper headline would read: "Increasing number of Republicans echoing Democrats," or "Republicans increasingly exude social pathologies of Democrats," or then again, "Republicans installing political correctness in their party platform."
Does the GOP support speech codes on campus?
Does the GOP support a dictatorship of thought, controlled by a hostile left, academia and media?
Does the GOP support the legal codification of homosexual courtship?
The next time you hear some politician repeating platitudes, the next time you hear some diplomat chirping about how the "Saudis are our friends," the next time you hear about how much good the UN is doing, and when you all that, and more, and want to throw up, want to throw up for it's DEMONSTRABLE falseness, and you want to throw up because everybody is running with the herd repeating it, the next time that happens, remember this little incident with Coulter.
The very people who want to crush Coulter into a stultifying conformity of thought and expression, ARE THE SAME PEOPLE who repeat all the other banalities, all the other platitudes, all the other idiotic cliches, all the other political correct nonsense.
It's of a seam, you can't crush speech and thought on one issue, without SUPPORTING those crushing speech and thought on other issues.
Lastly,
WHO GAINS HERE?
What voters does the GOP gain by tossing Coulter under the bus?
Which voters have we appeased by denouncing her, which constituency have we gained?
Who in the Left will now cross over the political aisle?
Which donor will now pour millions into the GOP coffers?
You've appeased, have you gained anything thereby?
Cui bono?
Cui bono? |

I wouldn't go echoing Hewitt on this, and many another issue.
You see loads of bloggers trying to ingratiate themselves with him, hopeful of getting some larger name recognition.
That's unworthy, and effectively, at the end of the day, that simply makes you an instrument in the hands of another.
Hewitt has his own questions to answer.
Where was Hewitt on the Dubai Ports deal?
Where was Hewitt on the nomination of that profoundly unsuited woman, Harriet Meirs?
Where was Hewitt during the run-up to the November '06 shellacking.
Hewitt has a political tin ear. Remember that.
He's in academia, his ear isn't attuned to what's going on in the base of the party.
And he's openly touting Romney.

...for something, maybe...the fact that going to https://johnedwards.com/action/contribute/coulter is probably the EASIEST way to find that famous clip of Ann saying the dreaded F-word in relation to John Edwards. Sen. Edwards was so "hurt" by Ann's words, that he can't wait to share it with the entire World on his website.

I say "YOU GO GIRL" ! If Military Families have to listen to "Barry" Obama tell us that our Son's and Daughters's efforts are a waste of time, if we have to hear the "hero" Murtha tell us about his "Slow Bleed" plan, then I totally support Ann's right to say whatever she wants. Ive agreed with 99% of what Ann has said in the past, PC or not. Heard anything you agree with from Bill Maher lately?? I say Fight back Ann, I've got your 6! Rick554 |

Man oh man, the rino/cino-ism in this crop of "conservative" wannabe pundits and the Lefty GOP candidates they support are so afraid of PC speak they have wet their collective pants over AC's comments. Now they want to send AC to "timeout", what a bunch of girlie men. Better be careful, AC might just put the slap-down on ya! |

When Ann Coulter is on the mark, Mark Steyn and Jonah Goldberg would have to work to match her wit, but she does tend to go beyond the bounds now and then. That can be part of her quirky personality in her columns, but I agree that in front of CPAC crowds and similar venues the damage is greater that the gain for the conservative cause. (Frog, that's why Edwards might include it on his site--her words help him.) My Townhall blog is called Bits and Pieces |
