It's been a big year...

AlGore's fictitious movie is up for an Oscar. He got to be a presenter at the grammy awards. And now he plans to host the largest concert ever held...

And just to make sure he didn't get badgered with headlines like this:

As a blizzard of snow and ice pummels the Northeast after trouncing the Midwest, and waves of Arctic cold fronts drop much of America below sub freezing weather, the $64,000 question is, Where is Al Gore?

Gore claims that global warming is an immediate problem facing the United States and the world, and places like New York and Chicago could feel like Caribbean haunts.

If there is any doubt that God has a sense of humor, it has to be dispelled by a headline in Wednesday's Drudge Report: "House hearing on 'warming of the planet' canceled after ice storm."

He followed up with this: "Save it for a sunny day: Maryville Univ. in St. Louis area canceling screening of Al Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth' because of a snowstorm."

He played it smart and booked it for July.

Gore is scheduled to announce the concerts today in Los Angeles. He's expected to be joined there by rock stars Jon Bon Jovi and Sting, rap musician Pharrell Williams and media executive Kevin Wall, who served as worldwide executive producer for Live 8, the 2005 concerts that drew attention to African debt relief.

The Gore-promoted event will be held July 7, according to published reports, with seven major concerts on seven continents.

And speaking of Pharrell Williams. Wasn't it Tipper Gore (AlGore's beloved) who used to run the campaign against explicit music lyrics? Ok forget lyrics for a second - I'm not even allowed to print the NAMES of his "songs."
