A REAL "man of the people..." Mike Huckabee just wrapped his address at CPAC. One that was his normal folksy self. But the implications of his ideas were a sharply annotated brilliant division from the now $4,850,000,000,000 spending of the Obama administration. Sure it was some red meat for the packed-house at CPAC, but it was still significant. One of my facebook friends then took me to task on the page over Huck's conservative credentials and his ability to do what no one expects him to do. This was my crux of the argument that I served up to my friend. This particular friend being a huge supporter of Hugh Hewitt and of Townhall.com. Huck has done nothing but continue to build his brand and platform since the election... He has STRENGTHENED his very close roots to evangelicals... He's explaining the challenges of issues every week on Fox News (brilliant move.) And he's writing books on his views on the issues and the future.
He's willing to break it down to the terms of every day man and woman sort of language. AND he has the strongest standing of any prominent GOP personalities with church going Black and Hispanic voters...
He is going to be a FORMIDABLE force in the election.
And I was the first pundit in America to predict that Obama would be President - calling it in December of 2006. (Ask Hugh about my history on Obama and predictions. I was the one who first introduced Hugh to Obama.)
Huck still needs some refining...
But he is working harder, right now, at the moment, in the most holistic way possible to gain a very tight relationship with the base. (Which was a HUGE deficit for McCain until Palin!)
It sounds arrogant but it's not intended to be. I WAS right on Obama. I didn't WANT to be. I'm not settled on whether he wins the nomination at this moment. But I'm telling you he's doing everything EXACTLY right to win it. And he's working harder than any of the other also rans to impact the mood, reach, and feedback of the nation... Even if you hated him... you have to give him kudos for laying the groundwork, and earning his keep! Keep tabs on KMC - "24/7":

I think the perfect ticket would be Huck for President and Sarah Palin for Vice President. Actually, I would be just as happy with the ticket in reverse order, too. |

Nope. They may be the ticket; I dunno. But they will never be POTUS and VP.
Didn't you hear that 26-year-old woman yesterday on Rush--a student at Cal State Northridge? She reported she is required to take a woman's studies course. The text book demonizes Rush by name, accusing him of gross anti-feminism. It also attacks conservatism and captialism as anti-female.
It's primarily about abortion, of course.
The political and culture war fought on campuses in the 60's was won by the libs. Libs own every information outlet (MSM, schools, entertainment) and majority of the population is completely indoctrinated.
You can shout for joy re: the defeat of the Fairness Doctrine. But that only effects talk radio. And who listens to that? A bunch of reactionary old foggies.
There will never be another Republican president in my life time. Perhaps ever. It's done. We lost in November and lost forever.
We cannot turn things around unless we turn the voters around. However, there are too many hard-wired libs who believe, like Obama, that capitalism and the Constitution, are the root of all evil.
Even if a few folks were to come to their senses, BO will quickly give amnesty to 12-20 more Dem voters. Combine that with union workers, government workers, people on goverment subsistence, people indoctrinated by public school teachers and just plain goofy thinkers, the America we knew is toast.
We're going down until we're all on food stamps. Once there is no more free food, it will be survival of the fittest, with armed gangs the fittest.
People denounce Darwinian capitalism; I can hardly wait for the Darwinian anarchy that's coming.

Watch Huckabee Saturday nights and you'll get a sense of who he really is. On the campaign trail he was stifled by the moderators who were bought and paid for by the Media and they shut him down before he ever got started. He was never really abel to put forth any of his ideas on the economy, health care, the was on terror, taxes, etc. as they just kept asking him the God questions and making fun of his answers. He WILL be a force to be reckoned with, and it might behoove everyone to realize the he is indeed a MAN OF THE PEOPLE. GO huck!! aLL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012 and kick Husseins sorry out asss out into the street, where he started - and where he needs to go back to. |

... in 2012 is probably Rudy. Tough, gritty, urban, law and order, fiscal hawk and pro-choice.
If everything unravels the way it appears to be going, I say Rudy--even tho he wasn't my first pick last year. |

No pro-life candidate will EVER be POTUS again. Don't get me wrong; I'm pro-life, but the women of the country (and the men who support them) will make certain they retain their "right" to abortion.
The sad irony is we will always have abortion in this country no matter's who's president. But pro-life candidates will forever lose on the issue. Pro-lifers will forever be idealistic losers.
It's too bad because it means we will forever have Dem socialists in power.
I believe Michael Steele is hurting the party and the cause with his announcement yesterday (on Glenn Beck, I think) that he's opposed to gays having civil unions.
This is HUGE mistake. Granting civil unions is the only thing keeping the country from a Constitutional Amendment granting gay marriage.
With civil unions, gays cannot force churches to marry them. Nor can they force schools to teach homosexual marriage is on par with traditional.
Once gay marriages are legal, first grade primers will be required to have stories of Dick, Jane, Daddy and Daddy. See Massachusetts.
If we SoCons cannot make some compromises, we will forever lose. The voice of the people will prevail and the people are not social conservatives.
Two outspoken SoCons like Huck and Palin have no chance. The average is voter is terrified of them. |

"I think the perfect ticket would be Huck for President and Sarah Palin for Vice President."
I totally agree. Where can I send money? |

needs to talk more about reducing the public (government) education monopoly and mean it. Also support Home educators. He lost me there with his wimping I love the old public school model. I didn't vote for him mostly on that issue. It stunk in our era too (I'm 48).
Otherwise, Huck is the only candidate who can articulate an idea clearly.
I think Sarah Palin is a neat gal, but would be a disaster to run again. She just can't answer questions in direct and understandable manner. Sorry if that makes Sarah supporters mad.
The fake BO won on his ability to tell lies well. Get it, the GOP just needs to speak the truth well. |

Huck's a great communicator; comes across well. He lost me with his devious use of the anti-Mormon vote in Iowa though. The man is not to be trusted. He comes across as a nice, down-home guy, but he is an Arkansas politican. Do not buy his chummy, cheery exterior.
As for Palin, I was ready to love her. I do find much to admire. However, you're right. She cannot put a cogent sentence together to save herself. Great at the teleprompter, but on her own, makes little sense.
As for the "old public school model," I'm almost 70 and attended NoCal schools. They really were terrific. But that model is never coming back. The libs and the teachers' unions have ruined the public school system in most places.

never afraid to tell the truth. |

Huck has the charisma but he is not polished enough on economic issues and that will still be a BIG issue in 2012. He has Palin's everyday american style but with more persuasion when it comes to interviewing and being charming with the media. I think palin needs to recover from the media debucle of 2008 and her kids need time to grow some more. In 8 years Palin would have an 8 year old instead of a kid under 2. These matters are important if the candidate is a woman. Many women and men wonder how focused a woman can be in an executive office position if she has a kid who is THAT young.
ROMNEY is the perfect VP pick for Huck. He would bring money and grassroot organization that can rival ACORN. Remember Obama has money from foreigners and americans, and ACORN that specializes in making up voters where Obama's poll numbers are lagging i.e. PA had new residents that all vacated after election day. Aprtment complexes were rented for them 'temporarily' and now we have the evidence.
The Latter Day Saints can match ACORN's organization and Obama's fundraising abilities. Romney can also attack negatively and we will need a man bold enough to do so. Partly because mormons are known to have accepted the dark skinned breathren later so....it's easy for him, plus he makes up stories better than obama does - I think Harvard law is an institution that teaches men how to lie with a straight face. Romney could match Hillary or Biden (if he does not get thrown out of the bus) and he would build trust with regard to the economy and of course explain the issues plainly and clearly.
HUCK/ROMNEY.....now ask Steele to speak to both men so that they don't waste time and money on a primary but instead team up to beat Obama. |
|
But I don't think the Mittwits will go for it; they have too much resentment built up against Huckabee; some die-hard Romney supporters even claimed that they would not vote for Romney if he had won the nomination and picked Huck as his running mate.
Romney didn't support the Fair Tax, which was my big issue this past election; maybe he could change his mind on that (or at least support a Flat Tax, which he also opposed this past election cycle). |

Just so you know -- you don't know a lot about women do you? Once a woman figures out that murdering a child is not the way to go (usually once she is given the truth) then they become pro life...I am pro-life...I am a woman, and I absolutly obhore "men" that say that they are being supportive (yeah of themselves -- they don't have to take care of anyone but themselves) when the support the right to murder their children. I have never met a sane and normal woman that has not felt regret for killing their child. I have never ment a sand and normal woman that felt regret for enabling her child to live. |
