Armed National Guard having to take cover on our soil because of armed bandits charging our borders... oh yeah... in John "g-d--ned" McCain's home state.
Pardon me if I take harsh disagreement with the oft-inconsistent Senator from Arizona. I happen to not think it a bad thing to have a two or three layer fence, a few hi-tech drones, and National Guardsmen with the orders to shoot those who attempt to penetrate our soveriegnty.
Was this little escapade pulled off by human smugglers, drug dealers, Mexican military, or worst yet - terrorists? Was any of it designed to be a diversion for something else crossing the border at that moment just a bit down the way?
Was it a test to see what our actual defense capacity was?
Our leaders need to squirm from the discomfort these questions cause...
