Oh, I dunno...maybe his statements comparing GLBT people to pedophiles, necrophiliacs and practitioners of beastiality is what was so off putting. Maybe it was that nonsense about how women need to stay home and mind the kids. Never mind that most middle class families are absolutely dependent on two incomes. Then again, what would the priviliged senator know about GLBT people or working families? Neither of those groups are in his cocktail party set.
