Listen carefully...
1. Insist extension of the federal tax cuts, expose Obama's plan and the damage that undoing the cuts would have on families making between $40-$100,000 a year...
2. Strongly back the Arizona, Florida, and California marriage amendments - not on religious grounds, but on democratic grounds, "the people shall be self-determined." (Also putting all three states closer to the individual win column. But he needs media on it and the commercial has to point out Obama was for man/woman marriage before he was against it...
3. 50,000 troops at the southern border... (NEW JOBS)
4. A window of time, and a limited number of "forgivenesses" to the first 200,000 illegals to apply for worker ID cards. (All applicants beyond that subject to current immigration law - including deportation. Thus it puts the honus on the illegal to come forward and to COMPETE for a spot to stay.)
5. Expose Obama's flip-floppery on the National Security issue...
These issues should be the core of the McCain campaign and if he would only rally the "'roots" on them - he would win... perhaps big.
I'm not personally all that much in favor of number 4. But I think some of the wrong can be overcome by limiting it to roughly the set number of people that legally migrate to the nation per year, AND by making it a free market - competition, self-responsibility issue, AND a law enforcement assistance issue all three in one.

Interesting. But it should assume that those stepping forward will be prosecuted if they committed any crimes and not only stolen IDs. I'm not sure it would work but it beats amnesty which would do nothing to rid America of the foreign army of urban terrorists (30,000+ strong in LA) killing mostly other Hispanics and then blacks. But 50,000 troops on the border and jailing employers would solve most of the problem anyway. Make it SIX things McCain should do now to win the election.
No one would ever expect it, just like the Spanish Inquisition. Stealth is the ONE thing they were famous for. And zeal. Ok, that's TWO things they were famous for: stealth and zeal... and devotion to God. Cut!! |

Do they get to cut in line? Is their "pathway to citizenship" involve the same requirements of those who came here legally?
My gut tells me that it would never work. Too complicated which means that no one will enforce any of the provisions. Rubber stamping will lead to confusion which will bring protests which will re-open the door for blanket amnesty as the politically expedient solution.

Those are good points, Kevin. Do you think he will do that, though? Also, what do you make of the 9 point Gallup spread between McCain and Obama? Do you think it will even up again after all the hoopla over Obama's overseas trip dies down? |

Those are actually good ideas, Kevin. I do have one question: Could McCain somehow rescue residents in Colorado who are now FORCED to live with a bill that allows co-ed public bathrooms(schools, libraries, camping grounds, locker room and gyms, etc., etc.) ? I mean, the residents NEVER HAD A CHANCE to vote on SB200. It was signed into law and immediately put into effect without a thought for the citizens in Colorado. It's bad enough that I or my daughters now have to share some restroom in the movie theater with a male or some man has to allow a female in the stall next to him. It's bad enough the law is punishable with civil and criminal charges against those who protest. The REAL KICKER IS Tim Gill, who lives in Colorado, bought and pushed his candidates into office to pass this bill. But even WORSE THAN THAT is, he is getting involved in OTHER STATES elections as well. He has the money, the power, and the means to fund whom he wants into YOUR state.
Do a Google search on Tim Gill. See how many elections he has influenced !
