Full House... er Mansion?

The 218 year old that lives in his bathrobe - Hugh Hefner - is soliciting the Olson twins for his monthly publication. It appears this is the second time the Viagra-addict has propositioned the ladies. The first time only hours after they turned 18.

And of course when they were 18 they still looked 12... so is Hef into kids?

I mean - they barely look 18 now.

And wouldn't it just be the perv's delight to take the two symbols of innocence and youth from America's childhood and make them his flavor - literally - of "the month?"

But on a larger point wouldn't it delight most of the porn industry if we erased all boundaries to anything seen as properly moral.

A scripture comes to mind - Romans 1:28.
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting."
Does that sound like the world we live in?

It's also "so comforting" to know that if Senator Obama is elected President he promises to advance the cause!

They were children were shoved in front of cameras year after year while other kids were hanging from jungle gyms and learning to tie their shoe laces. Alot of people made alot of money off these "pictures of innocence".

The point is, they were just that - "pictures" - the notions of innocence were put there by mostly naive viewers who know little about TV and show business.

The Olsen twins are adults, -- sophisticated, wealthy, self-absorbed, and, let's face it, just strange. If Hefner wants to offer them a job it does not make him a pervert.

Further, the crackpot needs to learn the difference between morality, aesthetics, and etiquette/decorum.

In fact, he needs to learn some decorum in the first place, since lying and then trying to cover it up certainly isn't proper decorum.

Kev, you're right- I'm sure Hefner's interest was partly due to his fantasies about twins as well as every dirty old man's desire to deflower and debase those who represent innocence. Touj, what planet do you live on? Do you think we just fell off the turnip truck? Thousands of pervs fantasized about the Olson twins when they were little kids and Hugh was ready with a pen and contract the minute he could legally p-i-m-p them.

Dear Mr. McCullough:

The "to hell with the kids" advocates bit a this column, didn't they? Despite the culture's every attempt to smear them, the Olsen Twins have managed to hang on well without compromising themselves into Hollywood-approved infamy. Their films and product lines are kid-friendly and the kids' parents can point to them without shame.

Among the Hollywood creatures, this one thing can be said of Hugh Hefner. He at least waits until they hit 18 before he attempts to lure them into perversity. In that, he stands above any number of filmmakers who couldn't care less. They've been getting away with it for too long. Especially now... in the wake of overt child porn like 2006's "Hounddog" and the films that have followed. Child protection laws aren't enforced on Hollywood. Hefner's an old fogey in comparison.
