4th?

The White House had best wise up and realize that continuing to pick a fight with Fox News is going to ultimately come back to bite them far worse than anything else they could do.

On election night Fox News had more audience than the rest of the cable news prime timers... COMBINED.

CNN came in 4th, behind their own "subsidiary" Headline News--long used as the minor leagues for CNN talent:

FNC: 4,043,000 in total viewers (1,130,000 in A25-54)

MSNBC: 974,000 in total viewers (308,000 in A25-54)

HLN: 842,000 in total viewers (341,000 in A25-54)

CNN: 826,000 in total viewers (227,000 in A25-54)

...Aaaaaaaaand?
Yes, Fox is popular. And "Candle in the Wind" is the bestselling single of all time. Popularity doesn't redeem crap.

The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of Fox programming is opinion, and 100% of that opinion contains unadulterated Republican talking points. And their straight news anchors are FAR from impartial.

So yeah, it's harsh, but what was said about Fox is true.

twomay's idea of fairness...
MSNBC - 2 libs 0 conservatives
CNN - 3 libs per 1 conservative
Fox - 1 lib per 1 conservative

Twomay doesn't know his face from his posterior...

The truth is that most of FOX is news followed by some OPINION shows in the evening. There are only two that spend up to 50% of their show talking about the WH. The others are not slanted and sometimes are even very overly kind to the administration. Of the two shows that really get on the nerves of Axel and Rahm, one really has not been picky about who they disagree with even when he was on another cable channel he loudly voiced opposition to some Bush policies and actions.
The other FOX shows reports the news during the day, occasionally with a commentator giving an opinion. Follow the SSM (State Sanctioned Media) and you will miss most of what happens daily especially events that take place in DC unless Pelosi or obama gets in front of the cameras. Every story seems to have been dictated by the WH.
