 Manchester City Hall, 11:00am today
The Huck-Wagon is rolling already:
(...via the mail-bag...)
New Hampshire pastors, church leaders and faith and values leaders will discuss the victory in Iowa and voice their support for Governor Hucakbee in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary.
These faith and values leaders will be holding a news conference in support of Governor Huckabee on Friday, January 4, at 11:00 A.M.
The location will be at Manchester City Hall across the street from Citizens Bank on Elm Street.
Shannon McGinley, a Founding Board Member of Cornerstone Policy Research in New Hampshire, comments, "Mike Huckabee's victory in Iowa sends a message that voters are thrilled to finally have a candidate that they can relate to-one that is not just trying to capture the faith and values voters, but one who has spent a life time embracing these values. Before he ever held elective office, Governor Huckabee fought on behalf of the family. He defended human life and the rights of families and parents. The landslide Iowa caucus victory for Governor Huckabee demonstrates that momentum, vision and passion is now on the Governor's side and we will continue to work to ensure his message is heard throughout the nation."

Earlier today I was watching one of the cable news channels (I'm 90% sure it was Fox) and they had a short segment where they visited a few campaign offices that were located in the same building in Iowa. They would show people manning the phones in each of the headquarters. When they got to Huckabees headquarters and showed people working the phones, I recognized 2 of the young women on the phone bank. I recognized these two from a documentary I watched recently about Fred Phelps and his weird church. You know, that's the church that would go to Military funerals and protest calling our soldiers evil. Anyway, the 2 women are his daughters! This is not good if Huckabee realy considers himself a Christian, because Fred Phelps and his crew are definately NOT Christian! |

He'll do it just like he did in Arkansas, create so many schisms that people like me, will refuse to vote for him and just stay home. I couldn't stand another Bush-like person as President. It'd be better to let the Leftists ruin the country than a reputed Republican.
Huck is about as welcome as warts. |

of the punditry is and will be until NH, "Polls showed more than 8 in 10 of Mike Huckabee’s supporters described themselves as evangelicals."
How is the Huck going to overcome being classified as the "evangelical" candidate going forward. Identity politics will backfire on him big time. I suspect in about 5 days the cheers from the Hucksters will turn to tears as they reflect that it was fun while it lasted.
In states with five or ten per cent evangelical supporters, I wonder how the Huck will do? Let's see if these fantastic followers start opening up their wallets and start pouring in the millions in donations necessary for Huck to compete in the next few states.
My guess is the Huck will fizzle fast. I seriously doubt most Americans will be as gullible as this handful of religious fanatics in Iowa. Frankly I am embarrassed for Iowan's, their credibility with me is now zero.

Look at the precinct by precinct numbers here on this cool map!

There is hope for the Conservative Movement in America, and there is hope for the GOP in 2008!
Gov Huckabee stands for life, for family values, for winning the war, securing the border, for smaller, limited gov't, for the FairTax, and for music and art and parental choice in education!
Let's unite behind Mike and take it to the Democrats!

You should be ashamed of yourself for spreading such creepy slander.
Gov Huckabee is a strong supporter of our troops. Check out his proposed Veterans Bill of Rights. It is a specific plan to address issues of concern for those who are serving or have served in our armed services.

With Gov Huckabee's full support of the surge, and for winning the war on terror, and for securing America you can be pretty certain that members or supporters of Phelps so called church and anti-military bigotry would not be supporting Gov Huckabee. C'mon get real! |
|
Yeah, Kevin hasn't decided who he's supporting yet, he's keeping an open mind... (rolls eyes)
Come on, man. Just admit that you're about as undecided as Hugh Hewitt is.

In both parties last night. We'll see what happens going forward but I can't see Huck going much further. He effectively played the class warfare card but I don't think it has much legs pass that. I think the real winner last night was Guliani. He'll be the stop the madness guy. |

First, it was, "Hucka-who? Never heard of him. He'll never make it into the first tier." He made it into the first tier.
Then, it was, "He'll never sustain this little Huckaboom that's started up. His opponents will bring up his record on clemencies and the DuMond case and he'll fizzle." His opponents brought up his record in 30-second sound bites, Mike provided context, and the Huckaboom continued.
And now, it's "He'll never become the President."
Let me guess; the next one will be, "He'll never be elected to a second term."
Mike Huckabee is going all the way, guys and gals. If you want to improve your chances of being right with predictions, try this one: "He'll never serve a third term." :o) |

I just want to know (because I dont know too much about politics, who are you voting for? I must of not heard if you have said it before. I just dont know and i know you are a man of God and your opinion counts to me |
|
Sure, Huck's a man of great character.
How many times has he talked about abortion, family values or gay marriage in NH?
Oh, that's right... NEVER!
Just another politician, telling us what he thinks we want to hear. |
