 Ok, so I lied... now you know it!!! I warned you during the campaign. Senator McCain tried his best to explain that Obama was lying. Pundits said he was lying. Talk radio said he was lying. Prominent columnists some from even center and left in American politics explained that it didn't add up. Basically the most repeated lie that Obama reiterated over and over and over again was all bupkiss--start to finish. He pledged, as documented by some quarter of a million news articles on Google, and in video vaults of every network in America, that he would not raise taxes on anyone that made under $200,000. Now his press secretary Gibbs, adviser Axlerod, and hosts of other administration will have to stammer and stutter their way through this question as Gibbs did today. He lied, we knew he was lying--those of us with our eyes open--and now every person that believed him will be stuck paying for the ultra-left, spend till the government collapses, policies that the nation is only six-months in to. Listen to this clip... the press corp actually LAUGHS at Gibbs--who knows as well as he does that the sun is coming up tomorrow--that he will face, much, much more of this for such a specific lie on a campaign promise. And for the first time I'm beginning to actually believe Messiah WILL be out of office if normal election cycles ensue given a lie of this magnitude. It certainly tossed George H.W. Bush after only one term. And given the way Obama took a bad economy and has flushed it further down the sewer, this will only add to the pain the average American family (making under $200,000) will feel the sting of. Just for kicks check out the lie in action from the campaign trail, and NOT JUST the one related to the $250,000 earners. Check out the outrageous claims he makes about the Reagan tax rates, and the amount of tax relief he's going to make a reality. Just astounding: Obama's officially in major trouble for term two... and that ain't a bad thing!

Do you not know who pays the lions share of the taxes in this country?BTW in Obama's speech today he was talking about funding some of the nonprofit orgs and he said he would make contributing philanthropist match gov funds...what,you mean the ones you took the tax credit away from?This guy sure can tell some whoppers! |

I DID write about Bush's tax cuts... Tax cuts that did not help only the wealthy regardless of the lies you tell.
My family of three (and I was making FAR less than $100,000 at the time) received a tax refund of $1200 under Bush (on the second round of cuts) and a refund of nearly ($900) the first time.
I also then saved thousands in taxes in the remainder of the years his cuts were in effect.
Perhaps you think I was wealthy... but I wasn't, and what Bush promised... he delivered.
I know you're ticked bc Obama broke his word and it makes people like you look like the sheep you are for buying his nonsense to begin with.
And you can not show me a widely reported pollster that has demonstrated that the "vast majority of Americans" will "willingly" pay higher taxes for Obama's health care debacle.
Have you seen the actual poll numbers on his plan?
50 DEMOCRATS in the House of Representatives voted against it, and it is dead on arrival in the Senate - where Dems have supposedly veto-proof power...
Don't be angry with the fact that people are merely expecting Obama to simply be a man of his word...

What on earth does "if it means we do not have to depend on our employers to chain us to a job" mean? If you don't like your job or your employer, start your own business where you control your options. Or are you afraid to? Too much risk for you to handle?

Didn't he also say that it was unacceptable to tax healthcare benefits when McCain brought it up during the campaign? Another lie, we all know that he clearly will support this money grab. I saw a lot of ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN polls here; only one or two Rasmussen polls here (much more reliable), and a lot of the polls had data last collected in '07.
However, there WAS this:
"Would you support or oppose having the government create a new health insurance plan to compete with private health insurance plans?" If support: "Would you rather have that plan run by a government agency, or run by an independent organization with government funding and oversight?"
Support:Government Agency 21 %
Support:IndependentOrganization 41%
Oppose 3%
Unsure 5%
This poll is from 6/18-21/09 (very recent)

10) After investigation and deliberation is completed, vote and issue a True Bill (Indictment) or No True Bill.
11) Announce all Indictments to the Press.
12) Serve the Indictment on the Judiciary for the Issuance of Arrest Warrants.

And GWB did not spend his way into the largest debt in history. BHO has garnered THAT distinction in less than six months. He's spent more than all the American presidents before him COMBINED.
And point of fact, Bush's tax cuts created a roaring economy that flooded the national coffers with record $$. You cannot tax your way out of debt. You cannot spend your way out of debt. You cannot redistribute your way out of debt (read Fanny and Freddy and unsustainable "entitlements.")
You can cut taxes and cut spending to get out of debt.
The economy is absolutely paralyzed because no one with investment capital or any money to spend has a clue what BHO will do next. They just know it's gonna be bad.
You progressives can write the future any way you want. We've seen how this movie ends and it's a horror show.

I followed the URL she gave to a page listing a lot of old data (2007) from CBS/ABC/NBC/CNN polls (you know THOSE are reliable! HA!), then found toward the bottom, buried, a recent Rasmussen poll (last week or so) that completely refuted her claim. She ran away after that.
I just wish they'd stop thinking WE'RE the stupid ones. Must be frustrating to have all your fantasies blown apart by reality all the time, though. I guess the stress it causes exacerbates the brain damage. |
