1. Is Edwards currently running for public office? No.

2. Is Edwards currently holding a public office? No.

3. Is Edwards an important figure in nationl politics? No. (He didn't even carry his home state).

Therefore, this is nothing more than the Right's delight in tragic private matter between a husband and a wife.

In other words, Kevin, you and your little Neo-Cons buddies are just a bunch of high self righteous, high tech voyeurs.

According to Politico, Edwards is still considering making an appearance at the Dem Convention

"Edwards told CBS News Friday night that he had no plans to go to the convention; he told ABC earlier that he was leaving the option open."


He was a real possibility as VP until this happened so his travails are STILL relevant. If he were a Republican, the Republicans would have already dealt with him. But he's a Democrat and they defend convicted child molesters and congressmen caught with frozen cash in their freezers. Killing them once is seldom enough.

McCain has pledged "no new taxes" while at the same time "all options are on the table". That the nose-holding RINOs won't call him on it is another sign that the pod people have kidnapped the party.

((Been a while, but I promised the wife and kids one week with no computer. Then we had an unexpected guest: Eduardo.))

It's all politics: neither party has the slime corner marketed.

However, it seems to me Edwards has quite a bit to learn from Newt Gingrich, the author of the "Republican (i.e., Family Values) Revolution."

While still serving in the House, Gingrich had divorce papers served on wife #1 while she lay in her hospital bed following cancer surgery.

Yet, all the Townhall talking heads can't wait to fall all over him. Never hear anyone ask him about his family values.

This Edwards mess hardly rises (or sinks) to that level.
