The $329,000 joyride. Who the heck even knows what the truth is now? First the administration says they had all the clearances and they were surprised New Yorkers were upset. Then they said they hadn't told everyone but that the Mayor's office knew and the NYPD knew. Then they said the NYPD knew. Then President Obama said he hadn't known but that he was downright outraged. downright outraged he was, and *snicker* in all that downright outrage *snicker, snicker* he's going to see to it that it never happens again. Now it turns out the administration knew all along and threatened to sanction the city if they told a soul. WHY? What's the big hairy deal about letting people know ahead of time and cooperate with the poor souls on the ground as to why or why not that big jet-liner is NOT about to crash into another New York landmark? Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb... and needlessly so.
It's just another "boneheaded" mistake by BHO. Oops, sorry 'bout that guys. No harm, no foul, 'K?
This was just a million dollar photo op on our dime. He just wanted to get that jet in the picture, to see how cool it looked above the Statue of Liberty.
Let's see if AF1 can do a loop de loop next time to really impress the homies. |

...this will negatively affect the careers of every Air Force officer involved in the mission - even though I'm sure they voiced their concerns and were told to "follow orders". The military has far greater accountability in situations like this, even when those held accountable have no direct culpability. |

This is typical of the arrogance of this entire administration. The money spend on this photo op could have provided a years work for a few people. Far better way to spend money. The worst part was the fact that they did not consider the affect this would have on the many who still have nightmares over the 9/11 disaster. His hollow apology was typical of how he handles things. His smirk as he said it won't happen again was telling to say the least. Perhaps a good start in saving money would be to stop spending on photo ops for this president. He is not campaigning anymore. |

Do you think for one minute, that they didn't realize the impact that stunt would have on people on the ground.
They had to fly from Andrews AFB, past Washinton D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia, to get to NYC. What I saw doesn't look like they're being ESCORTED, either, as they earlier reported. Why wasn't the fighter jet IN FRONT? From the ground, it would have been a different picture, don't you think. It looked like, from the beginning that the scene was being filmed from the ground, rather than from the air. i could see a bevy of lawyers blaming EVERY accident, heart attack, etc., that occured during that time period, on the White House. It was sick, and ACCOUNTABLE. Get Thee behind me, satan, in the name of the Lord. Love.Peace.Blessings. Jay |

This shows how the Obama's so called administration really feels about the American people-Obama to me had no remorse for this uncalled for act. I would like to know who was on airforce 1! If any member of congress was on board-out with them!! |

The usual trolls like Frank and Rachel have failed to comment on this event. Funny how they always shy away from commenting on the failures of their Messiah. The bucks stops with you Mr. Obama. Your less than honest apology just doesn't do it for most of us. |
|
He's totally unaware of what is happening from within the White House? Yet, when the Seals took out those pirates half way around the wqorld you would have thought that Obama pulled the trigger himself.
He's totally involved when there's credit to be had, when there's blame to be placed...he knows nothing about it. |

I am sure that Obama was tryin to figure out a way to blame Bush. Unfortunately, they knew that one wouldn't work so he just decided to play dumb. |
|
What would you have said if Bush had pulled a stunt like this?
Maybe something just....slightly different? |

You're seeing a whole TEAM of psychiatrists...
....aren't you? |

"You're seeing a whole TEAM of psychiatrists...
....aren't you?"
If you're going to quote James Earl Jones, at least try to make sense. |
