Paying a visit to the Capitol building, Tom Hanks
declared his desire to have the vote taken for the 2008 general election sooner than later.
Hanks is a supporter of Barack Obama told Politico that he wished the election could be "held tomorrow." Adding, "I'm bored!"
But I think most people who pay any attention to the political spectrum are anything but bored with the present drama shaping up in Hanks' own party. Obama leads big, Hillary makes a comeback (repeat cycle once), and now it looks that Obama may win 3 of the next 4 states, but Hillary wins in the biggest of the 4 and they end up going the stretch with Obama firmly in the lead, and Hillary trailing, and they get to the convention and have "the" slug-fest to make us forget Democrats in Chicago, or Republicans of 1976.
It will be ugly, waste particles will be flying through the air, Clinton will attempt to steal the nomination, tempers will be tested, and every now and then Obama may step out to a microphone and say, "the Clinton camp refuses to recognize the will of our party's voters - particularly the choice of African-Americans, and young voters."
Insults will be levied, dirt will be dragged up, and perhaps even punches thrown, and riots started before its all settled.
BORED?
Someone tell Forrest that "we're just getting to the good part."
