eHomorotic.com?

So in a blatant move of cover your backside, and with all the courage of a backbone made of jello, eHarmony.com--previously a match-making site that had held some modicum of values to its product, has just thrown the faith-based community (that it built it's name off of) under the homosexual bus.

Evidently so afraid of having to take a stand for what is their right as a world view, Dr. Warren and company said, "if we become the lackey for the gay mafia, will you leave us alone?"

This is astoundingly shameful on many levels.

One that they didn't even assert their right to run the company the way they wish to, given that their product was based on research of MARRIED heterosexual couples they could have remained a uniquely heterosexual service.

But they didn't even try to fight it.

They agreed to a settlement that lets them, for the time being create a gayHarmony.com, throw $50,000 at some management of the site, and give some disgruntled man who chooses to engage in homosexual behavior a free membership.

The overwhelming question for discerning people here, (And yes I don't mean Ex-pat, Goat, or any of the others who have no understanding of the Christian faith but choose to comment anyway...) is why?

Why give up who you are, the rights you have, and the unique service you offer to the world in helping to create stable families just to get to be the two-bit hooker to some dude who likes to cruise rest stops up and down the Garden State tollway?

It's pragmatic, at least Dr. Warren gets to keep making his millions...

But forgive me if I now NEVER recommend eHarmony to another single friend as long as they maintain this passive posture to radical activists who wish to tear down the definition and picture of what healthy family looks like.

Shame on you Dr. Neil Clark Warren...

Good for eharmony!
I love it. The days when you can hate gay people are ending.

Get used to a very, very different America, from now on. Whether you like it or not!

Bad for America~!!
Since when does the minority become the majority? I could care less whether your gay, it's not HATE in any form it's about what our country was founded on, morales, principal, etc...So after 5000 years we should just give in and change the consitution of this great country? I think not!

Shakedown Street
Now that we have a half-black prez, maybe Jesse and Al can shakedown companies on behalf of gays instead of blacks.

I found out about eHomony the hard way however when my date sported 6" stiletto's and a five o'clock shadow:) Except for it being a cross-dressing rump ranger, we did have a lot in common.

Why is it when militant, intolerant gays 'stand up for their rights' it is 'noble', but when others disagree on religious grounds [thus exercising freedom of expression and religion] they are now branded as 'intolerant bigots' or 'scum'? Shouldn't even 'intellectual honesty' be respected? I would think that Dr. Warren would be LESS respected by the very group that is demanding adherence to their view while not allowing his [previously held] views to prevail in a privately-held enterprise. This 'compromise' is a no-win for both viewpoints, and sadly a commentary on spineless Christians who fail to remember how costly it can be to follow Christ. Even Jesus said to "Go, and sin no more".

A Pox on thee, Neil Clarke Warren
Clearly, NCW cares more about money than righteousness or taking a stand for the very thing upon which he founded eHarm. It's been going down a slippery slope for a LONG time - with the encouragement to Christian believers who ascribe to the word of God, by asking them to "relax their standards" and be open to matches with Muslims, unbelievers and the lot of them with whom they would be "unequally yoked" leading to peril and most likely, the demise of relationship. Warren obviously has caved to his bank account and not his faith. God forgive him. It's a dark day for other Christian-oriented sites, as Warren has established a precedent (even though it was a settlement and not a legal judgment). Will others who disagree with a "Christian-only oriented" dating/relationship site be challenged by homosexuals? "Shame on You" doesn't quite seem enough, but it's a start. Hopefully he will recant, or even better, that smart Christians who hold to the precepts and values of the Bible and have a membership in eHarm, will leave en masse!

There's a google ad at the top of this page which shows two guys kissing. I'm all for capitalism, but this is still a conservative site, is it not?

Stop Gays From Getting Together
If gays stopped being gay, then they would be saved, our children wouldn't turn into gays and all the nation's problems would be solved.

What is next, eHarmony for pedophiles, polygamists and incest? Don't laugh, what is to stop them? Laws and public majorities seem to not matter anymore... ask California. We are no longer approaching Sodom and Gomorrah, we are passing them quickly. All in the name of "equality" and political correctness. Wake up America!

Thanks!
Thanks for the mention, Kevin!

I understand Christianity quite well. What I don't understand is your interpretation of it.

PS: I wonder where ex-pat is these days? Maybe after the election, he has lost interest.

e-Dissonance
I spent two hours filling out one of their questionnaires only to find out that I was one of the lucky 20% that their matching algorithm doesn't work on. Oh, well, there's always the Chinese bride sites...

If they're that picky with their programming, how in the world are they going to incorporate homosexual pairings on which scientific data is limited and stand behind...maybe that's the wrong imagery in this case...their product? What's next, Toyota dealers being forced to sell Fords?

Didn't fight it?
Check out Michelle Malkin's blog. The E-harmony folks did indeed fight it, and lost in a NJ court. They just decided not to fight it further.

That said, I hope (but doubt) that I would have the integrity to shut down the business if that happened to me.

E-harmony is a victim, not a villain, in this.
