What voters would Rudy attract that WILL NOT vote for Huckabee? (Club for Growthers - compared to Hillary/Obama? Not likely. Radical Homosexual Activists? Possibly... Pro-Aborts - again compared to Hillary/Obama? Not going to happen...)

What voters would Romney attract that WILL NOT vote for Huckabee? (In the General election sense, it seems difficult to imagine anyone attracted to Romney that wouldn't prefer Huckabee over an Obama/Hillary choice...)

What voters would Huckabee attract that Rudy will not? (Anyone with ethics, concern for integrity of the person leading the nation, someone who thinks it's actually moral to still be married to his first wife, Gun owners, pro-lifers, an energized base for a true social and moral conservative...)

What voters would Huckabee attract that Romney might not? (Southerners and church-going African Americans, Latinos, and some Evangelicals... Not because Romney's policies oppose those groups - they actually are as strong as Huckabee's but where is Romney's coalition to the African American and Latino groups?)

Bonus: Hugh believes this is a silver bullet at Huckabee. He also believes because someone or two someones on the other side says something nice about one of your guys it suddenly reflects poorly on your guy. Question Hewitt: If Frank had said something nice about Mitt would that automatically cast suspicion over Mitt? Would it question his abilities? Would it question his strategies?

I'm ALL FOR supporting your man. I've not yet endorsed a candidate and am still actively watching each step they make... But policy positions and action plans are going to be what I TRUST voters will make their judgements on - and NOT because some columnist somewhere said one thing or the other about him...

No guarantees in life or politics
Searching for a candidate who can get the most votes reflects poorly on us, particularly in the primary. Huckabee will be another Jimmy Carter. He's a nice man, but woefully inadequate for the job.
People will learn who is best for the country in the general election process. Vote your conscience in the primary. Then pick the lesser of two evils in the general.

I have a completely different take on the whole GOP field because it is filled with Rino's.

If people would think logically (I know I'm asking alot) Fred is our only choice. Here are simple minded reasons. Beware....some of you may get your feelings hurt!

I think Hunter would also be a good choice, but he lacks organization and money. Plus, his debate style is off the mark. He can't win the primary.

Mitt can't win because he has too much RINO baggage. He could win the primary, not the general.

Rudy can't win for the same reason as Mitt. He can't win the primary, but would have a shot in the general.

Mike can't win because of the same thing as Rudy and Mitt. He can't win either.

Ron can't win because, well... because he's Ron.

Tom can't win because he is a one-issue candidate. Both the primary and the general are out of the question.

This then leaves us the obvious choice of Fred Thompson. His Conservative credentials can carry him in the primary. His appeal to a sizable amount of centrists will help him win the general.

Fred Dalton Thompson for POTUS!

Con4Fred... I once thought as you...
For many months and weeks I was energized, ready to work for Fred, and officially said so on this blog.

I thought his oratory inspiring, his gravitas shining, his cutesy folksy stories hard-hittingly clear and brilliant...

Then he got INTO the race...

Oh my gosh - where'd the other guy go?

Y A WWW NNNNN

Is it nap time yet?

Thus you see my dilemma...

That's exactly the image the media wants you to have. I have followed Fred for many years and one thing is perfectly clear to me... Fred does things his way, and they work!

Don't give up so soon, your country is depending on you.

Fred Dalton Thompson, cause he ain't no RINO!
