One of the things I think I will miss most about President Bush when he leaves office is his uncanny ability to be a real person. He has laughed with us, mourned with us, taken the collective anger of our nation and responded to those who would kill us, and yet he never stopped saying thanks to those who did the real work. And he has always shown such overwhelming appreciation for America's finest - who have heard their nation's call and are standing posts today to see to it that our children sleep peacefully tonight.

I was reminded of all of that, all over again when I saw this clip of President Bush on prime-time TV last night (Deal or No Deal):

And yet he's signed into law
Two items which have gutted our protection against the government.

Doesn't sound like someone I'd be proud of.

Good morning Knight...
Glad to see your pagan backside dragged out of bed so early this morning...

LOL

I'm proud, too!
I’m proud of a President who choose the ignore the specific threats of the August, 2001 daily briefing.

I’m proud of a President who picked up a copy of "My Pet Goat" and read for twenty minutes after being told the twin towers had been attacked.

I’m proud of a President who took us out of Afghanistan before we captured the SOBs who attacked us and then lied us into a war with a make-believe enemy who had absolutely NOTHING to do with 9/11.

I’m proud of a President who ignores all warnings to beef up security at our borders.

I’m proud of a President who has spent more and enlarged the size of the Federal Deficit more than all other previous President combined.

Glad you have a hero, Kevin!

Really?
What planet are you on?

Laughed with us? No, Kevin, the world laughed AT us.

Mourned with us? When? When he refused to allow photographs of soldier's flag-drapped coffins?

Responded to those who tried to kill us? Really? NEWFLASH, KEVIN: Al-Q has never been stronger, thanks to W. Bin Laden is alive and well, thanks to W.

Appreciation for our finest? Like letting our wounded soldiers waste away in rat-infested hell holes like Walter Reed?

Yet again, Kevin, you are WRONG on every single point you tried to make.

Deal with what I wrote, crackpot
Or are you rightly ashamed that Bush signed into law the patriot act and the military commissions act? You should be so ashamed. Creating a police state is nothing to be proud of, especially when one of the most cherished protections against government we have (habeas corpus) has been UNCONSTITUTIONALLY eliminated.

Good to see that you're nothing but a coward, crackpot. Everyone knows that you cannot respond to anything of substance. You're a pathetic excuse for a human being. A waste of flesh. You're just taking up space and breathing my air.

Bitter
Wow Kevin,I guess Obama was right. Some people are bitter! My my someone needs to attend anger management classes.Hopefully the classes will be completed in time to enjoy the John McCain administration.

Won't be much to enjoy
He'll nuke Iran to start and it will all go downhill.
sloandog writes: Tuesday, April, 22, 2008 11:23 PM
Nuke Iran?
Sure McCain might nuke Iran, looks like Hillary is on board with that too.Look, the bottom line is you can't keep backing down to your enimies if history has taught us anything it's appeasement doesn't work,it only emboldens thugs hellbent to defeat you. It's like trying diplomacy on a mugger or the school bully.
I don't agree with everything Bush has done, but to blame him for everything bad in the world is ridiculous. A lot of circumstances transpiring today are a direct result of past administrations policies.Don't you think the terrorists on 9/11 bear some of the blame?
If Mccain is victorious will you hate him too,or will you give him a chance?

What are you talking about, sloandog?
No one's blaming Bush for everything. No one's not blaming the terrorists.

So what are you talking about?
