Not LEFT BEHIND...

This election is proving crazier by the day. And Huck MUST be given credit for shoring up Evangelical Credentials faster than his people can think up ways to make it happen.

Jerry B. Jenkins, co-author of the second most selling copy every produced in Christian publishing behind only The Holy Bible, with his series "Left Behind" has agreed to sit on the Faith and Values Coalition for Governor Mike Huckabee.

“I am pleased to wholeheartedly endorse Mike Huckabee for President of the United States. I resonate with his values and personal character and believe he is the kind of man who can guide the country through difficult times. I appreciate his record as a leader and am especially pleased with his ability to be plain-spoken and articulate his views in person and on his website. I believe people of faith will find him refreshing and an exciting answer to the question of who should emerge to be the Republican front runner and eventual nominee.”

Jerry and I had offices merely feet away from each other only a few years ago when we both worked for Moody Broadcasting. He is someone I admire immensely and consider a friend, and more honored that has reciprocated over the years. I have NEVER KNOWN his political leanings nor ever seen him willing to enter the fray of public policy. I think this is just a such a kick!

Huckwagon
I am aboard. Forget about some that are nitpicking- I met him at NRB years ago in Washington DC,. and he is a very decent and personable man. When I initially heard that he was running for President I was aboard immediately. If you read what he has written, you can get insight of his character- and yes this election will be about character. The former First Lady has revealed hers already.

Huck Rudy and Ethics
Rudy and Huck have teamed up. Huck is openly helping Rudy. Both are ethically challenged.

Rudy claims his ethics problems are a political hit. Rudy has some of the best PR people in the world. Any ethical challenge is going to be defined as a political hit by them. There is no good time for such information to come out.

Huck claims it is party politics. I would point out that a lot of Republican Governors have Dem legislatures and they do not have a long laundry list of ethic violations like Huckabee.

Arnold comes to mind as an example. CA is controlled by the Dems and they hate all Reps. MA is another example.

In 2006 we lost both houses due to culture of corruption charges (which were partly justified). Why in the world would we want a couple of well documented, ethically challenged, candidates to head the ticket in 2008?
