"Phony Christian!"
Because I have been occupied extensively ALL WEEKEND with things that kept me busy - and were far more important than radio, column writing, or blogging - I'm just reading and hearing about Obama's FaithFest from this weekend.
In a word - it's bunch of - and let's be technical here: "Hoooooey."
He's no more a Christian than I am the head of an African American household.
(Uh on second thought, since my adopted special needs son is black - maybe I'm more of that than he is a Christian after all...)
Read some of his quotes here and you can easy enough spot the "Phony Christian" easily. (Hey - maybe this is how I can finally be condemned on the Senate floor...) Anyway - the "Phony Christian" did a lot of yelping and hollering - but I will break down for you exactly why he is a phony and not a Christian - at least on the basis of these benign statements later this week... probably tomorrow.
One can't approve of what God abhors & identify himself as a Christian.
Christians can't accept anyone as a Christian who approves what God abhors.
What God abhors is found in the Bible.
One must READ, & know enough to recognize truth & error.
God has not stated He works in mysterious ways. On the contrary, God has revealed exactly how He works over 1000's of years.We need not travel to heaven to find out or swim the deepest ocean. Rather, His Word is near to us, in our heart & in our mouths.
We find how He works in the Bible.
In it, life is held in highest esteem. Throughout Torah & Psalms, God is named as the creator, giver, sustainer & judge of all life, FOREVER, hence, Alpha & Omega.
Anyone who stands for abortion stands in DIRECT contradiction to the will of God. If one reads the book, one discovers this.
2nd, the 1 sentence confession heresy,"I accepted Jesus Christ into my life". Heretical. Nowhere in the Book is this offered as a barometer of salvation. The word accept is not used 1 time,relating to Jesus Christ, being born again or saved.
What Obama has is a faith where god is self. Self is first, hence, "I accepted Jesus Christ". Conversion is based upon the opposite. God, always preeminent. God 1st loved us,when we realize this, that we don't deserve Him,that in our depravity He was there all the time, we begin to understand the magnitude of GOD. Through tears, suffering, conviction, joy, success, all of life, in death, God is 1st.
On the callers. America has dumbed down education, the work place, the pulpit. Another Gospel is preached. Tongues is not the issue. The issue is the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & the courage to preach it & teach it.
That takes study, time & a man who has fallen on his knees, dying to himself and living to GoD.
Life as a Sacrament. Only THEN, God will grant him a heart after God.

Years ago we learned there was no book written to "The White Men in Selma, Alabama".
Anyone who preached a white Christian experience preached another Gospel.
Believing there is a Black Christian experience distinct from that in NT is believing another Gospel, heretical,& from such all must turn away.
A Pastor using the F word from the Pulpit need only look to Jesus Christ,Paul, Peter & every OT saint.
If he doesn't change his behavior he has chosen the way of Satan.
He is no minister of the Gospel of Christ. Those under that preaching sit under the advisory of God & man. Sound extreme? Good.
In Revelation, the last words of our Lord r recorded, repent or else. 5 out of 7 churches are chastised. The proportion still holds.
