For the better part of today's show I openly opined as to the "smarts" of the yahoos who put together today's silly "May Day Illegal Marches/Rallies."
I proffered the theory that perhaps this wasn't a good strategy.
I mean in the total spectrum of Illegal Immigrants in America today you have a wide range of people and what I am only sure is a wide range of attitudes towards America among them. I picture that they range something like this:
--[+]----------------------------------------------------------------------[-]--
Illegal but sorry/Want to get it ironed out Illegal and plotting terror against USA
I recognize that the vast majority are somewhere in between. We have however captured Arab born terrorists on the southern border so its not something we can dimiss.
Which is what makes days like today so surreal. At one point in the middle of the show I exclaimed that I was looking at a four-way split screen in front of me and that literally tens of thousands of CRIMINALS were parading in mass numbers in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Detroit.
REASON tells us that if you are desiring to petition those who rule America (We The People) to make laws more friendly to you and your family being able to come here, it doesn't seem logical to march with angry slogans, flying Mexican (or any other kind of) flags and say things like "STOP THE DISCRIMINATION!"
Nope... instead what these rallies said to America today was "up yours" and America became more resolved today to build a fence and now press our candidates in 2008 even harder on what was already a quite contentious issue.
My phones rang off the hook. Listen to the show - no baiting needed - the passion speak LOUDLY for itself - and much of it from IMMIGRANTS! Hour 1, Hour 2.
But to add one last cherry to the sundae... A YouTuber captured this prized bit of video. Evidently this cameraman is employed by NBC. He was flying a Mexican Flag... Listen to the crowd... What you will hear is the voice of America, angry that our borders are open, that we are unprotected, and that neither the Republican nor Democrat parties seem to care.
