"Dad would be proud of me... NOT YOU!"

I find it really distasteful when family members air their dirty laundry in the press.  And when the "press" turns out to be a pander-rag to the lobby that promotes homosexual behavior one has to wonder, "is blood thicker than anything these days?"

I've had a number of people drop me notes on Billy Baldwin's recent excerpted interview with OUT magazine. For those who don't know OUT is one of the most widely read homosexual publications in the country. But since there are less than 3% of the population who practice homosexuality anyway it is understandable why so many of you would still not know what it is... I digress.

In the excerpted magazine interview Billy Baldwin is made to look like a total jerk to his younger brother Stephen. Having spent one afternoon with Billy and all of about twenty minutes with Alec I have to tell you that Billy seems to be the one Baldwin brother who is pretty much ready to throw down on a moments' notice.

Having said that there may be some doubt as to whether OUT magazine did quote Billy correctly and in context, and I was encouraged to not form a final opinion until its proven.

PUCKEY!

If Billy Baldwin said the things this article claims he said then he needs to step up to an actually intellectually rigorous setting and debate the silly objections he claims to throw out. And if the magazine is misrepresenting what Billy said - then he should have the stones to stand up, correct the record, and vindicate his brother's reputation.

The one afternoon Billy and I were together - happened to be at Stephen's home. We debated the value of a human life. The life of a person who was not terminally ill - even though Billy had been convinced that this person was - but rather needed limited technological help to breathe and consume fluids. Billy felt it was perfectly within the rights of a judge and a husband to be allowed to execute his wife's life through the cruel act of starvation. And he felt that it was morally ok for that starvation to take place over the course of 21 days. Regardless of the pain inflicted upon the woman, regardless of the fact that she wasn't even sick - this husband's right to murder his wife with a permission slip from a judge is all it took...

And he has the audacity to question Stephen about "civil rights?"

I would invite Billy back to the coffee table, but this time for an honest discussion - not a softball Q&A from an advocacy rag totally devoted to the degeneration of our society.

What do you say Billy? Stephen may have never interned on Capitol Hill like you did... but I've spent a day or two there. In fact at present I'm living here!

It's easy to make your brother the punching bag because you despise the peace, contentment and the real life change that you've seen take place in his life. But it is hard to argue, is it not, that Stephen is a different man today than he was prior to Jesus?

Are you that envious?

You're better than that William, and though you may think that your father would have a distinct opinion of Stephen's commitment... what would he say to your level of disloyalty?

Thank you
Thank you so much for addressing this, Kevin. There is always the possibility that William's remarks were taken out of context, but if he doesn't correct them, then I have only to assume that he meant everything the article said.

By the way, you never followed up on what Alec said. Was Alec taken out of context or did he really mean the things he said when he said that the only reason Christians are against homosexuality is because a homosexual union can't reproduce? You had said that Stephen was going to write a letter to the magazine regarding Alec's statements.

Also, on a side note, for anyone interested, Stephen spoke this past weeked at a church in Texas and gave his testimony. If anyone is interested in seeing it, go to this webpage and there is video of it that you can click on and watch: http://www.promiselandchurch.net/content/view/112/167/

one more thing
If you go and watch Stephen speak, it is about 44 minutes into the church service. Keep up the good work, Kevin. I miss your daily postings.

Even more distasteful....
....is when someone like KMC tries to cash in on it. Real classy, Kevin!

what incoherent nonsense
do you often spew Kevin..watch out or else you might lose this gig even which you are lucky to have in the first place..radio exposed your lack of talent..dont let blogs catch up on that secret ..please talk sense in your posts and yes, who cares about the baldwins..steven footing your bills?

I bet Billy doesn't bite
If I was a betting person, I would bet that William won't debate you, Kevin, in public on this issue. Liberals like him will spew their nonsense in circles where they feel comfortable, but when given the opportunity for a real debate, they run with their tail between their legs. The least he can do if his statements were taken out of context is to set them straight. If he doesn't, I hope Stephen will turn the other cheek and continue to demonstrate to him Christian love.

JSmith
And by the way, JSmith, as far as Stephen footing Kevin's bills, I see you do not know what you are talking about. Stephen Baldwin has taken a huge paycut in Hollywood due to his stand for Christ. He is not rolling in the dough himself.

JSmith... if radio rejected moi...
Why am I now the executive producer of a product that is cleared on 497 stations? In addition to a previous career run that spanned Dallas, Chicago, and New York (3 of the top 5 markets) in addition to various national clearances...

Hmmm...

JSmith - why do you care so passionately about the content I choose to comment on?

Isn't a blog, or a talk radio show - really just an outlet for the commentator to provide original content to the marketplace that they care about?

You are the one that spews incoherent nonsense. The word "don't" has an apostrophe in it. I have never heard of ending a sentence with two periods either.
