This is astounding...

"I CHOOSE to believe that the world is a better place because of America's role in the world!"

Christopher was a brave man, proud to be an American, who was willing to lay down his life for his countrymen.

karennkc is a hate filled, BDS loony lefty. Part of the ashamed-to-be-America, blame-America-first, crowd!

For her to spew her hate-filled rhetoric on a thread that was meant to honor such a fine young man is beyond reprehensible! She shows her disrespect for not only Christopher but her contempt for every other brave young man or woman that has proudly given their lives in service to their country.

She has absolutely no class! She should feel shame for her disrespect but obviously doesn't. Her tirade on this thread shows just how the liberal loonies on the left show their 'support for our troops'.

Polar opposites
What a wide spectrum. On one end is Christopher Mason who provided us a look at the understanding that our young soldiers have for the dangerous mission they undertake daily. A look at the understanding that Christopher had for the role that the United States of America has played in the world unmatched by any other country. And a lump in our throat from knowing Christopher joined the millions who have given their life fighting the evil that always finds America as a target for its hate.
On the other end is karennkc. Not even the sacrifice Christopher paid for HER can dissuade for even a moment the hate she has cemented with hours of research to provide her ever ready frothing at the mouth letter.
True opposites. An American hero and a "I'm not a
Democrat" Democrat.

May God bless the memory of Cpl Christopher Edward Mason.

May we never forget he made the ultimate sacrifice for us and our nation. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13, The Bible.

Democrats have no sense of history
I wonder if FDR and Harry Truman are rolling in their graves? Both of these Democrats were responsible for entering us in conflicts where the casualties far dwarfed those of Iraq. FDR was lusting to get into the fight and the Japanese obliged him with the attack on Pearl Harbor. It's too much to believe that with our ability to read the Japanese codes that he had no inkling of the impending attack. Was it purely co-incidence that George C. Marshall couldn't be reached because he was out for his morning ride even though the gathering evidence suggested that "something" was coming? A task force doesn't go radio silent for no reason. The Dems and the liberal media all crow about Vietnam as their finest hour, what they neglect to understand is that it was their inability to go the distance and do what was needed to assure victory. We need to take a lesson from General U.S. Grant who demanded UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.

Ditto
Made me proud to know that we have such brave young men and women serving in the military like Christopher that are representing our country so honorably!

Too bad some of his last recorded thoughts and words fell on deaf ears with the Democrats in Washington! Pure and simple, the Democrats care more about scoring political points with a naive and mislead populous, to feed their lust for power. They care little for the security of our nation. All their pontificating about how much 'they care for our troops' is a bad joke ... and I'm not laughing! Their actions speak louder than their empty words! They are pathetic and treasonous! Is Treasonous...too strong of a word? Not in my opinion!

I'm a Vietnam vet and I know from whence Christopher spoke when he said that many in America take too many things for granted, in respect to the freedoms and privileges we enjoy in our great country. If you've never been in a combat situation on foreign lands, it's hard to understand fully what he meant.

Just one more reason I think that bringing back the draft would benefit the youth of today! It might just help them grow up and become more patriotic and productive citizens, instead of the spoiled and pampered punks that many of them are today. The men and women that compose our voluntary military service would still continue to volunteer ...and just might be a positive influence on those that are drafted!

Just my two cents ... but I think there is some wisdom to my thoughts, if I can be so bold!

True American
Wow...powerful video...this can make you feel hope or despair. I choose hope, our men and women are sacrificing themselves for us all over the world, for our freedom, for the things we take for granted everyday. They give their lives for us, the very least we can do is give them our support. The politicians, the war protestors, the looney leftists that hate the president, that are trying to make this all about him...need to remember the men and women who are really sacrificing for the American dream...Freedom!
