There is no one alive in the modern Conservative movement who has taken more abuse for standing up for conservative thought than Ann Coulter. No one in recent years has been more fierce in fighting liberalism. Her name, voice, sight, creates panic in the heart of leftists.

But sometimes she loses it big time...

Today at CPAC Ann needlessly painted a target not on herself, but on the Conservative movement as a whole. Within minutesliberals were willing to lay the blame for the idiocy of her remarks - which were unnecessary and accomplished little than cheap laughs - at the feet of the conservatives gathered at CPAC, and in addition by extension the GOP/Conservative candidates for President of 2008.

This on the same day when CPAC had reason to celebrate its biggest success of its 34 year history. Highest ever attendance at 6300 attendees. Also my first time ever to emcee, which I'm convinced had much less to do with the record turnout - than did the speeches by ALL relevant GOP candidates. Brownback and Romney both came courting MuscleHeads...

So... long story short - truly toooooo bad that Ann had to go off and in an all too obvious way create the storm of publicity for herself, while quite literally leaving the "movement" for which she is so well known in the dust having to clean up her slop, and put the parts back together again.

MellorSJ
You can also say the same for any leftist comedian. If they used the N word about republicans...... oh wait that is right they have and more, the Clarence Thomas cracks from the left and them calling Condi Rice Brown Sugar and Aunt Jemima......

So MellorSJ the left has used racial epithets allot against conservatives... so can you show me all your posts on here showing that outrage??

Of course you cant.

Of course than there are all the racial attacks against Michelle Malkin that aren't comedy at all.

Nice try at drawing some sort of moral equivalency MellorSJ, but it isn't working. Ann is just proving once again what hypocrites the left and even a few on the right are.

Disgusting....
I raised four children. Two sons and two daughters. My sons are gentelmen and my daughters are ladies. None of them would ever use such language.

Her Mother obviously needs to slap Ann across the face, drag her to the sink and wash her filthy mouth out with soap.

Sorry.... I guess my age is showing.

Yeah, no PC among conservatives.
We just like to complain about it. On the other hand, we ARE living in the Golden Age of Euphemisms. One of the first casualties of the fall of the Soviet Union was the collapse of public interest in poetry and books in general. No one is allowed speak what everyone is thinking anymore and so we create a new "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" language to get around it. It is such a phony issue. How about we lighten up and get off of our high horses. Every Democratic candidate and leader has said much worse (Bushitler e.g.). Laugh! That's an order! You'll feel better right away!

Where is the context?
Steve,

Thanks for reminding us who it is that has the real hate problem.

Kevin,

While it is a legit point of view to say that Ann is brilliant and doesn't need to do this. It was obviously Ann being comedian. Think of all the leftist comedian's that use every cuss word in the book against republicans in their jokes(Whoopi Goldberg etc) yet where is the outrage there? While some would say that we hold our own to a higher standard, context matters.

If the left complains about what Ann said, we should throw every liberal comedian in their face including Bill Maher. The fact that the left is even mad over Ann's obvious comedy is a glaring example of their partisan hypocrisy.

Context matters!

Ann Coulter
... is a piece of human waste. The extreme right wing fascists that support and agree with her are only concerned that she's tipped their hand. Don't worry, moderate, normal people (the majority of the population) already knew something of the hatred that the Conservative movement holds in it's heart. Nothing new there.
If there is a hell, Coulter will rot there.
