I have to admit, I was not familiar with Dean Barnett's work prior to his arrival at TownHall as part of the Hugh Hewitt page. I also have to admit he's gotten to be quite addicting.
Take his latest piece on John Edwards.
For the record, I'm not saying he's right, particularly when it comes to the part where he's predicting Edwards to be the nominee in 2008, but look at how he unpacks how creepy the Breck Girl truly is.
In fact I would tend to say that the fact that Dean could slice Edwards so easily, and so devastatingly makes me believe that Edwards won't go nearly as far in the primary process as Dean believes he will.
But in reading the piece you learn two things.
1. Barnett's stuff is always well thought out and expertly researched...
2. John Edward's is a creepy, creepy, guy...
I still hold to the idea that Obama IS going to win - and if the GOP doesn't get off their duffs - he's taking everything, but Dean believes otherwise - and his voice should be heard. And I'm grateful that TownHall will give us both the forum to hash it all out for the next 18 months or so until that nominee is named.
