What was sad was by the very official scoring of yours truly and The Lovely Bride, we had it scored with Blake taking a slight lead into the final song. (A song that the contestants did not get to pick - and one in which the style heavily favored Jordin.) She then did what she had to do and blew the roof off of it.
And for all you Idol haters who felt dissed by Melinda's top three bounce, keep this in mind...
It was NOT Kat McPhee nor Taylor Hicks who closed out the show with one of the biggest singles in America right now... Yes for those with the short memory it was #3 finisher DAUGHTRY who has the runaway best album from the 2006 class.
The truth is Jordin, Blake, Melinda, LaKisha, Phil and Gina will ALL get recording deals from this year's top 10. And considering how weak this year's class was by comparison to previous seasons that may set some new sort of record.
