"hey we failed by 4 million - but who cares - we're gonna win it all!"
Ron Paul's most ardent ponied up another 6 million this weekend, (no word on how much of that from the MoveOn/George Soros delegates that have joined the PaulPot cause), but the trouble is - they had promised a "day of reckoning" kind of total of 10 million.
See the key to politics - like much of life is trust. That's why you should err on underpromising, and over delivering!
|
I guess some of his supporters decided to buy pot with their donation money. Or their trust fund allocations wern't released in time. |
|
|
Paul's supporters still raised more money by themselves than the other candidates and Kevin can't stand that. |
|
Kevin, Are you for real? Dr. Ron Paul supporters raise over $6M in one day, a new record for any campaign, including Hillary's, and you have the audacity to say that we fell behind by $4M, and that Moveon.org was involved? If I was Ron Paul I would sue you for slander. What is it about Ron Paul that scares you neo-cons? Please do your research before you slander a popular candidate who not only makes the most sense, but is honest to boot. For example, he is a doctor and not a lawyer, quite a novel idea for an America that is sick and tired af being abused by its government. Please Google video him and watch the videos shot by his promoters, and go to his website "www.ronpaul2008.com" and see for yourself what Ron Paul stands for. Please do not join the rabid MSM in attacks on him based on what they are feeding you. One novel idea Ron Paul has is to secure our borders with our troops brought home from Iraq. Please tell me that you are perplexed as most Americans are about a war in Iraq against the Islamofacists terrorists, while we have millions of illegal immigrants coming across the borders everyday who may be our enemy? Are you not concerned about this? Well I and several thousand Ron Paul supporters are and if you do your homework, he is the only candidate who will do something about it! Wake up America, Ron Paul may be our last and only hope for an America that still stands for freedom and liberty for all citizens. Ben Franklin said that he who gives up liberty for security gets neither. Please educate yourself about what is happening in America and stop the carnage before it is too late. God Bless America and Ron Paul!! |

Hugh is clearly in Romney's corner. Medved attempts to appear objective, but inevitiably points out Romney's faults and Huck's virtues, not acknowledging that Romney has a far more credible track record.
But to the objective observer, Romney has perhaps the best resume of anyone who's run for office in the past 50 years. If anyone can get spending, it's Mitt. If anyone will raise spending, it' Huck.
Romney will bring change, as he has to every organization he's touched. If he can do for America what he did for Massachusetts, Bain & Co., and the Olympics, Medved will eat his words. |
|
|
If anyone can cut spending, it's Mitt! |
|
Don't worry, the large amounts of money flowing in to the Ron Paul camp are only coming from folks who use the internets.
*sarcasm off* |
|
|
I didn't know that you were a fan of Wonkette. |
|
Little wonder your campaigns generate about as much enthusiam as the local Elks Lodge bingo night.
BTW Spidey, yeah it's just those "Paultards" smoking all the weed. "Mainstream" "Godly" Republicans would never think of it.
" How rich are we? Americans spend $10 billion a year on video games. The expenditure for pornography is even higher. We pay an estimated $70 billion for marijuana. We spend more on gambling than on medical care or education. During this past July alone, revenues earned by Nevada’s gambling halls totaled a record $1.146 billion."
|
|
Kevin can't help himself. One look at his photo tells the tale.
"During this past July alone, revenues earned by Nevada’s gambling halls totaled a record $1.146 billion."
And "conservative" Bill Bennett was a big contributor to this. |

This whole deal about Ron Paul raising millions has me worried.... no it's not what you are thinking.
Ron Pauls followers will end up voting for a Democrat. Silly you say? Here's whats going to happen... many RP Faithful have donated so much money that alot of them have tapped out their financial resources. When RP loses the nomination many of his supporters will be mad about going broke because of him. So for them to try and recoup some of what they lost they will turn to the most Socialist of the Democratic candidates that promises to help them with their situation. Of course the help they will promise will be in the form of our tax money.
Think about it, RP's supporters are going to be mad as hell if he loses. Maybe someone should have told them not to bring a three legged horse to the races! |
|
You got a ways to go pal...
Howard Dean raised hmmm, let's see...
$52,000,000 mostly from the internets and was also a physician in the mold of Ron PaulPot.
How far did it get him? |
|
This is my first visit to your web-site. I remember you from WMBI, and my wife said you were on and she found out about this site and thought I'd like it.
The title of this thread is enough to make me think that you need hypno-followers, because a title like this is just infammatory rhetorical garbage. I'm gonna look around a little more and see if you continue talking like an 19 year old poly-science major, or if you have anything of substance on this site....
.... I'm not hopeful, but I believe in miracles. |

By signing into law bills that are specifically authorized by the Constitution. It's not difficult; anybody could do it--provided he possess the strength of character.
Ron Paul raises Romney a liberty by advocating the abolishment of the Federal Reserve, coupled with the reintroduction of real money (gold and silver). Such a return to mathematically tenable and biblical principles would render lavish spending impossible--unless congress were willing to cut its own throat by raising taxes into the stratosphere. But Dr. Paul also calls for the phase out of the IRS. And Mitt? He merely promises to be disciplined and kind-- while retaining the ability to preserve business as usual in Porktown, should he so decide.
Kevin is turning me off to the MeatHeads with each Paulpot crack. I agree with previous posters that he exudes jealousy. The neocon Polit Bureau, much to the chagrin of Mr. McCullough, is running out of red meat to feed the true believers. And where was $10 million ever promised? Paul's supporters set a one-day record and the TH bluebloods respond with derision. Truly desperate.
Ron Paul is willing to address issues honestly and openly. Our meddling in the Middle East has contributed significantly to our present woes. Dr. Paul is committed to locating and expunging the Islamists who attacked us, while extricating us from our Faustian marriage to Saudia Arabia (15 August 1971 is an interesting date in history for anyone willing to research it).
But silly me; why am I so concerned? After all, the CFR has given us a bevy of qualified lackies from which to choose. In the mean time, please join me in pounding your chests and screaming at the dollar as its plummets, "They hate us for our freedom!" |
|
analyst wannabe.
Ron Paul and Howard Dean are both physicians and presidential candidates who raised money on the internet and that where the similarities end.
It's the message, stupid.
|
|
Socialism...lol
Of course, everyone knows that Socialist's want to abolish the income tax, the Department of Education and stop the debasement of our currency.
Get a clue. |
|
good ol' "Bookie of Virtues Bill" came to mind. Mr Virtue dropped 8 mil in one sitting at the blackjack table, if I remember correctly...lol
At that rate we should have Dick Cheney and Richard Perle write the "Book of Peace". |
|
Back up buddy. I never said RP followers are Socialists.
Secondly..... It was all in fun! You know, tongue-in-cheek and all that.
He may have some good ideas, but Ron Paul has no leadership skills.
If you want a true Conservative with leadership skills, I suggest you vote for Fred! |
|
Unfortunately, you wouldn't know "leadership" if it crawled up and bit you on your hindquarters. Ron Paul has a 30+ year record of voting on the issues according to the Constitution and to his principles, REGARDLESS of the popularity or poll numbers associated with them. He does not vote for pay raises and go on junkets. The list goes on and on...
In other words, he "walks the walk".
That is called LEADERSHIP. |
|
And lighten up...
This isn't a church sanctuary - its a page on Townhall where we can have fun, strong opinions, and decidedly pointed conversations if we so wish.
I really really really enjoy posting ANYTHING that has Ron Paul's name in it - because his followers suddenly go crazy and start calling me names...
Fun is not against the rules! |
|
I agree with some of Ron Paul's positions. It's mostly just the fact that George Soros has begun to underwrite much of his effort, his supporters who go a tad bit crazy, and the fact that Dr. Paul himself is in complete denial over the Global War against Islamofascists that has me more than a bit concerned about him as the CEO of our nation.
If your wife heard me on WMBI - why don't you give it a day or two, see if where my mind is on the issues isn't an honest one of exploration that tries as best I can to be as transparent as possible to follow the things of the day that capture my attention.
By the way... I am more than just a little sore about Jess Simpson right now - because I think she single-handedly caused Romo to play like a junior college back up yesterday...
Anyway... always glad to talk to new folks - and thanks again for coming by. |

"Ron PaulPot's hypnofollowers"
"I really really really enjoy posting ANYTHING that has Ron Paul's name in it - because his followers suddenly go crazy and start calling me names"
And we really, really enjoy exposing you and the 2 members of your fan club as a clueless jackasses when you begin your blog by calling Dr Paul and his supporters names. |

Which side are we on in the "the Global War against Islamofascists"?
I'm a bit confused.
"What led America to the strategic imbecility of replacing the Ottoman Empire as the protector of Balkan Moslems?"
"The specific ideology in question calls itself "multiculturalism," though in fact it is the cultural Marxism of the Frankfurt School. Officially, it proclaims that all cultures are equal, peaceful, happy, something to "celebrate," even if on the ground they resemble a dumpster too long unemptied. Unofficially, multiculturalism works tirelessly for the destruction of Western, Christian culture, which it seeks to wipe off the earth and out of history. Since Islam has the same objective, the two work in alliance, despite the fact that they are philosophical opposites.
Lest anyone think that multiculturalism in the Balkans was purely a product of the Clinton administration, the Bush administration has picked up exactly where Clinton's crowd left off. At present, the U.S. is working to ram independence for Kosovo through the U.N., stripping Christian Serbia, an American ally in both World Wars, of its ancestral homeland. From a policy standpoint, such an action is absurd, as it creates an irredenta that guarantees another Balkan war. Morally, it is obscene, both as an act of Western suicide and as a gift to the same culture that is killing American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Only ideologically does it make sense, assuming one is a multiculturalist. Among ideologues, fantasies trump reality every time."

We protect them against European Orthodox Christians whom we were allied with in two World Wars, yet kill then en masse if they happen to threaten Israel and her oil pipelines.
Curious. |
|
Our entire engagement in the Global Conflict we are presently fighting in - is to protect the oil pipelines of Israel...
You outted us. You figured it out.
Yes... there is a fatwa issued against us, and it had nothing to do with our kindness to Muslims under Billy Jeff. In fact even though we protected the Muslims in that conflict it had definitively no effect on Muslim thought.
But we do know why Billy Jeff felt he had to be involved don't we? A lifelong search for a legacy?
Unlike the decision to respond to the growing threat that Islamofascists posed to us before, on, and since September 11.
A threat I might add - that has been neutralized, at least as it relates to the attacks against the US and our homeland.
But it wasn't by accident.
Occupying their time and attention has kept them moving, and caused them to consume many of their resources.
The people that hit us on 911 had been planning to do so for about six years. We missed the signals, and were ignoring the danger, but we can not and we will not be caught flat footed next time.
Which is why Paul's position is so freakish.
Look, he's a nice man. He's got some ideas that I agree with.
But fundamentally denying reality...
...is suicide.
And he CAN NOT be given a pass on that - NEVER!
Not by those of us that lost loved ones on that day... NO WAY! |
|
Confused is preferable to indoctrinated.

"Bookie of virtue",
I like it!
I doubt if Kevin has ever heard of William S. Lind. If he has he certainly isn't smart enough to understand him. I bet Kevin's idea of a defense expert is someone like Hannity or Limbaugh.
"Our entire engagement in the Global Conflict we are presently fighting in - is to protect the oil pipelines of Israel..." ============ "US discusses plan to pump fuel to its regional ally and solve energy headache at a stroke
Ed Vuillamy in Washington Sunday April 20, 2003 The Observer
Plans to build a pipeline to siphon oil from newly conquered Iraq to Israel are being discussed between Washington, Tel Aviv and potential future government figures in Baghdad. The plan envisages the reconstruction of an old pipeline, inactive since the end of the British mandate in Palestine in 1948, when the flow from Iraq's northern oilfields to Palestine was re-directed to Syria..."

Kevin is so narrow in his sources he probably isn't aware of this, but I doubt he would care. I suspect he is an apocranut who believes in dispensationalism.
Nice to see knight_of_baawa expose KMC as either a fool or a knave with his silly comment about Soros. Right, Kevin, now try to grow up and join the reality based community.
|
|
|
I think the thing that motivates people like KMC is that they are a mirror of those "liberals" they are always railing against in the sense that they too, think of themselves as "good people" when they stand in front of their mirrors and tell themselves this because they "care". "Liberals" lately have confine themselves to meddling in the private lives of citizens here whereas people like KMC prefer to ruin the lives of others living overseas usually for some silly religious belief. In any event both of them are a pestilence to the rest of us who simply want to be left the hell alone. Going after Al-Qaida is one thing. Wanting to bomb the hell out of everything in the Middle East is something else. |
