Last night, upon my arrival in the Windy City, as the MuscleHead Revolution book tour continues, I was ushered to my seat on the nationally broadcast "Beyond The Beltway w/ Bruce DuMont" live from Chicago.

Since I had been in the car most of the day on Saturday getting to the midwest by car from the NYC area, and since I spent most of Sunday morning with the excellent people of the Spring Grove Bible Fellowship, I had not cracked open the laptop since late Friday evening.

In my message/sermon in the Sunday morning service at Spring Grove I touched on the coming hideous days discussed in the third chapter of II Timothy. The folks get it... We live in pagan times.

As I sat down at the table for the Beyond the Beltway show - carried simulcast on Chicago television and 75 radio markets across America - I was handed a sheet on the latest details in the Mark Foley scandal... including Speaker of the House - Dennis Hastert's request to have the justice department open up an investigation into the matter.

The panel I was on with was interesting, a liberal progressive - representing the left, and someone who was "non partisan" on the panel who is a political researcher at DePaul University. (And even though she played the "non partisan" part fairly well, her left leanings were still evident.)

In the second hour added to this panel was Sydney Blumenthal from the Clinton Administration. So there I am - 1 on 2 and eventually 1 on 3. Glad to say we faired pretty well... So I'm still looking forward to the Vanderbilt University faculty taking me up on my offer (1 on 9.)

On the Mark Foley story it became clear what the left's talking points is on this story:

Republicans can't be trusted. Foley's failure is really more a failure of leadership of the Republican party. And evidently the only way to stop immoral sexual behavior is to vote Democrat in 2006.

What I was truly grateful for was that Bruce DuMont kept asking me to respond to the crazy points.

Here's my response in a nutshell...
1. No Conservative will tolerate this behavior.
2. If there was some sort of cover-up - the bad guys will lose their place of leadership as well.
3. This scandal WON'T have any impact in large part outside of the Foley seat in Florida.
4. All immoral behavior taints one's clarity and the ability to act with integrity so Foley - an openly homosexual man - was not/is not now anyone that the faith-based voters would have gotten behind to begin with.
5. When Conservatives behave badly - they step down, or the voters take them down - they are not allowed to keep their position.
6. When Liberals behave badly - they boom in popularity, they are offered "forgiveness", and given second, third, fourth, etc. chances...
7. The conversation of the issue does not benefit Democrats in this election because the Democrats are still not even involved in the conversation on the two biggest issues out there - specifically - "how will you kill the terrorists, keep me and my family safe, and prevent people who should not be here from coming here."

The conversation was fast and furious - but truly enjoyable...

And one very nice bonus... Mr. Liberal Progessive Dan, who had spent the evening arguing and objecting to nearly everything I had said - told me he was going to buy my book and read it. He did the buying part about five minutes later as I had a small number of books left from the book signing that morning at Spring Grove Bible Church...

Now if I can get a liberal, who openly opposes me to be interested enough in the ideas of the MuscleHead Revolution:Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking - to actually support it by coughing up $20 right out of his pocket - wouldn't it make nice reading for you - no matter where you are on the political spectrum?

Foley Represents Homosexuality
Who would ever think that the sexual antics of a gay politician would be spin into a political attack on the Republican Party? The reality is that Foley does not represent Republicans - he represents the gays. Gay organizations encourage young teens to be sexually active and to experiment with gay sex, even with older men. Gay literature encourages and glamorizes gay sex between teens and older men. Gay organizations lobby to redefine the "age of consent" so gay men can be having sex with younger teens. Yes, Mark Foley represents a bigger problem - the sexploitation of our young by the gay agenda.

Why so many Gay Republicans?
I think I heard this week that several more Republicans were identified as gay. Ever wondered why so many choose the party that fights their agenda? Much easier to take something down from the inside. Look what the gay agenda did to the Catholic Church. The self hatred that motivates these people also motivates them to become insiders, just as they did in the Catholic Church, the APA and other organizations where they can work to make changes to their benefit.

I haven't read anything written by someone identifying themselves as gay that would comform to the Republican platform, so why are so many wanting to identify as Republicans?

Foley won't take down anything, other than maybe his seat in congress. Perhaps we should look into someone's personal behavior before they are elected rather than after.
