"Operator... I'd like to yell at Congress please!"

About two years ago there was this really stupid debate that was held within companies that operated websites. "Should we upgrade to web 2.0 as a platform? Or just try to make web 1.0 look as sexy as possible?" It was a stupid debate then, and showed significant lack of forethought...

So does the current "stimulus package" that Congressional Democrats are about to pass, and choke YOU to pay for.

So consider this Activism v. 3.0!

The things included are a cadre of programs, gimmicks, and some outright political campaign paybacks. Yesterday Nancy Pelosi even tried to keep a straight face and tell the nation that condoms would help stimulate the economy. Her arrogance on the matter shows her ignorance on the mechanics of both prophylactics and economics.

This morning on page 147 of the stimulus bill we find out that $335,000,000 "needs" to poured into the prevention of STD's and the creation of freaky-get-your-sex on programs. (This is $335,000,000 in addition to the $333,000,000 that we give to Planned Parenthood each year for their let's-get-your-girl-an-abortion as well as freaky-sex-programs of their own.)

So at a time when we should be just flat returning the money to the roughly 150 million who actually pay taxes (which would equal close to $8500 per federal tax-payer) and allowing them to stimulate the economy through the purchase of good's and service's, thus providing jobs, and thus expanding the earning's base--instead we slammin' down $668,000,000 millions into helping 15 year olds obtain "non-consequential" orgasms.

I'm I the only one more than a little bit lost on the priorities behind this?

Anyway - Ed Morrissey and the HotAir crew have had enough and are helping you do two very important things all at once.

SPEAK OUT to your elected congressional representative - republican or democrat, and allow their answers to you to be heard by the listening public.

At 3pm this afternoon - they will be helping "chatizens" take the talk to the halls of congress - LIVE, across the globe with ALL of you listening. Ed tells you how to make it happen here. And the chat room was already buzzing big time an hour before the broadcast.

They will help you place the call to your Rep OR your Senator. So go get all of 'em, and let them know how strongly your thoughts hold on the best way to spend our money to solve our economic woes... not the shortcomings in the sack.
