Listen "LIVE" - 2-4p EST
Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
When a senior pastor/priest strays into sexual immorality, regardless of their repentence - their card is punched - no more shepherding. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the trend. Instead it seems the thing to do is to bed someone, leave the church you're at, and begin a new church. The former pastor at a Mesa Catholic church who faces seven misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct has started a new worship center and conducted his first services. More than 500 worshippers gathered to hear Dale Fushek conduct a service at a Mesa hotel Thursday. Known as "Monsignor Dale" during his 20 years at St. Timothy's, Fushek co-founded the national Life Teen program and served as vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. "Pastor worship" has become in some sense the new version of the Old Testament sin of idolatry, something we don't much talk about anymore. Yet what is at stake with the influence a pastor wields over a community makes it imperative that they just not partake in adultery etc. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
She suffered sexual harrassment, molestation, and assault from the most powerful person in the world. The next day her husband ended up dead, and she was told to believe it was a suicide. What fears does this former "friend" of Bill and Hillary Clinton harbor in their possible return to the White House? Catch this exclusive: Kathleen Willey. Her new book TARGET: Caught in the crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

3:20pm
Blaming others for our lack of progress or success is immature, and grossly unattractive. "Why do I think Celine had the sales and I didn't? Because she's a white girl... You want me to be honest? That's why," Labelle told the MonacoRevue. What a sad and victimized mentality it is that comes up with such theories. My special needs black son will never be held back by "whitey" - not in his own mind. But this instance also points to our inherent unwillingness to take responsibility for our actions, mistakes, failures. And if we don't do that - we will never succeed! 800.345.WMCA.

"Whitey" Kevin?
Black people, in general, do not refer to whites as "whitey." That is a term whites condescendingly, and by the way mockingly, use when referring to black complaints concerning race. The new racism in American media, practiced by conservative talking heads is to deny substance to any and all black authored complaints regarding being victimized by traditional racism. Their new self-serving and self-defending rant supports the thesis that there is no racism in contemporary America, and the racism as practiced in our past wasn't as bad as those "professional victims" purport it to be. As far as blaming others for black American's lack of progress, you need to take another look. Dispite the bleeks statistics that white talking heads love to spout about black Americans, in less than 50 years more than 50% of black Americans have dug their way out of hundreds of years of legally mandated set-aside poverty. More black Americans own homes than ever before in this nation's history. More African Americans are in college, and have earned college degrees than ever before. More African Americans hold professional decision-making positions in corporate America and in divisions of government.
People like you use the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Louis Farakhan to dismiss, diminish, and set aside black thought. The national black community did not choose Jackson, Farakhan, or Sharpton. These guys themselves, chose their careers as camera hounds. They are not black America, nor do they reflect the mindset of black people. Here's a hint - black American culture is church-based. Get to know the people in black churches across America, and you will begin to get a picture of the true nature of African American culture.

Whitey
I hope Braveheart is right but I still see too many knee jerk blacks who vote democratic when the democrats have done little for them but laugh after the election is over. Which party actually freed the blacks and which party led civil rights movement? It is also time to stop using the phrase African-americans. We don't use the phrase German-Americans, Irish-Americans, British Americans. It is a useless phrase developed by white liberals to separate our country. Too many blacks have strayed from the church and have tried to emulate the liberals- those with no values or morals--the liberal democrats. We are all Americans and should think that way. All for now. I have met many blacks who are fine upstanding citizens, religious, and hard working just like other Americans.

A Bit Condescending Frank?
Rather arrogant of you to tell other people what they should call themselves. White liberals did not create the term African American - black people did. You see Irish, Italians, Polish, German etc., do indeed call themselves hyphenated Americans. We know them by their respective cultural foods, but most importantly, we know them by the land from which they hale.
The land of origin indicates a place of history, culture, resources, and connections. African peoples were kidnapped brought to the Americas and forged into one people under slavery. Dominant culture America has called black people Africans and Negroes, and a host of slurs -niggers, coons, bucks, pickininnies, mammies, etc. The first organized response to centuries of humiliation, by black Americans was to proudly declare that they are "black" just as those who declared themselves superior to black people proudly called themselves "white." With the growth of African American studies, organized efforts among black scholars introduced the terms African American and Africana to give black Americans a place of origin, of history, African cultures, and a sense of connection.
