I will have much more to say on this in my weekly column for TownHall tomorrow. But suffice it to say it boggles my mind how we pick and choose which parents to excoriate...

The ones WHO get taken out on it! |

Bad parenting knows no political bounderies. There are plenty of examples on both sides.
But, since you are implying that liberals are failures as parents, here are just a few great moments in conservative parenting:
1. The ("fall-down drunk, throw up in the streets of Argentina") Bush twins;
2. Phyllis ("I'll just hide my gay son in the attic while I bash all gays") Schalfley;
3. Druged-out, shoplifting Noelle Bush;
4. Saddest of all: Mary Cheney.
But, nice try!!!!!!

Even concepts of morality always get twisted when large sums of money are on the table. It's intresting that when a single mom trying to raise children by herself, makes a decision to exchange sexual favors for money, in a descrete,secret, one on one atmosphere, she is a prostitute. But had she brought in a full camera crew, a producer, increased the wealth of her studio and stock holders, making herself millions more than the single mom, she is now a STARLET, and not a prostitute. All the world can purchase her performance, eliminating secrecy, which carries her from HOOKER to STAR!.............And she can even be promoted to younger women and girls as a successful role model............That's twisted. |

Dear Lynne --
Three plus 67! |

This whole thing is false. There is not really any lesbian sex scene in this movie, and there never was.
It's a dramatic story about a young poet, and there's nothing sexual about it. The screenplay is based off a well-received play.
Despite mutliple denials of any kind of lesbian content, the rumor persists, simply because that's the nature of the tabloid machine.
Therefore, Kevin McCullough's criticisms are not justified.

that the downward spiral into the cess-pool of demoralization has hit us in so many directions that we can't even decide what is moral, what isn't, and whether or not such justifications are even warranted. |
