Behavior can save your life! The World Health Organization has finally done it. They've gone and told the truth about the extent of the AIDS/HIV world "pandemic." The news is - that outside of sub-Saharan Africa where tribal myths are taught that in order to rid oneself of the virus you must rape a virgin - outside of THAT - there IS no pandemic of HIV for people who behave as God intended when it comes to sexual expression.
Of course we've known this for 20 years, and why the WHO is just now copping to it seems strange to me.
The sad part of the new WHO report is that even though the price in HIV-retroviral drugs have gotten so inexpensive - some as little as .89 per dose that those children in Africa who have been raped - still aren't getting the drugs they need.
That's one of the reasons why the Lovely Bride and I support Compassion International - and one of the children we sponsor is an HIV designee...
If you’re theory is right, then why does HIV/AIDS not affect lesbians, too? Does “as God intended” not apply to lesbians? After all, they are not mentioned in Leviticus. You people on the far right have never quite been able to explain that one away.
AND: This still remains the ONLY disease to be discussed in social and not medical terms, 20+ years later.
AND: Smoking and obesity are the main reasons people die of heart disease – which is, after all, the #1 killer in this country.
Are overweight smokers living “as God intended?” Are you also ready to attack their deviant, self destructive lifestyles as well?
Of course not. You’d never dare be so fair. |

The point Kevin was making was that AIDS (outside of Africa) is spread by consensual, bad behavior. In other words, if you don't engage in deviant practices, you have very little to worry about. It wasn't that God is smiting gay people (and IV drug users) with a plague, but that there is protection in following God's directions.
The same point could be made with diet problems. There are natural consequences for putting bad things, or too much of anything in your body. Gluttony is a sin, albeit a harder to define one that homosexual acts, and partaking in it is not living as God has directed us. |

I just love the way you get to the point Kevin. AIDS has always been a gay thing. Yes, there are a few cases where heterosexuals have contracted the virus through transfusions, sex outside marriage, but overwhelmingly it affects homosexuals. I have read several books (MuscleHead Revolution, Godless: The Church of Liberalism, Unusual Suspect, Twice Adopted, Why I Left Jihad) in the past year and a half and I am almost postive that it is in Godless where Ann Coulter addresses this issue. Some people like "My Pet Goat" cannot handle the truth. |

Hambones, you have a quaint little world view. Bad things happen to bad people.... Everyone gets what they deserve.... It sounds wonderful! You're in for a big shock when you discover the real world, kiddo.

...and limited resources. I prefer to put my limited funds where I can get more bang for my buck. AIDS is not one of those causes that I am inclined to donate to, because there is so much that can be done about it by individuals themselves. It just doesn't make the cut. |

The death of gay people from Aids the way Kevin M does?
I have never seen someone more happy to report that Aids has killed alot of gay people - then refer to GOD.
What a rutting pig.
And for the record, pig - heterosexual women are contracting HIV at higher rates then anyone in the US at the moment - so maybe you should speak of them before cheerleading the deaths of gay men.
Thanks. |
