If you so much as imply that something is environmentally friendly, it tends to become a hot product. You can buy "green" anything these days..."green" clothes, "green" cars, "green" food. But what about "green" comedy? That's what ABC's trying to sell with tonight's premiere of the new animated show: The Goode Family.

"The Goode Family is a send-up of a clan of environmentalists who live by the words “What would Al Gore do?” Gerald and Helen Goode want nothing more than to minimize their carbon footprint. They feed their dog, Che, only veggies (much to the pet’s dismay) and Mr. Goode dutifully separates sheets of toilet paper when his wife accidentally buys two-ply. And, of course, the family drives a hybrid."

Will you watch it? Do you think it will really make fun of the green movement or, underneath the humor, will there be another message?

Just Say NO
Thank GOD I don't have a TV! Well, I have a TV but it is hooked up only to my PS3 and DVD player. We download the shows we want to see and rent movies. Thank you GOD.
I understand that protectionism is not good for the economy - but it is good for the family. We MUST protect ourselves and our children from the endless onslaught of the liberal media machine. We don't get the newspaper anymore (even the local stories are slanted to the left), we don't watch TV - we have gone back to the early 1930's style of information - radio and conservative newsprint (Townhall).

another message
Personally, I think there will be another message underneath the humor. I can't actually believe one of the major networks would possibly go against the liberal establishment. I went to Disney World on vacation last week, and every store I went in had something about "green" The color green used to be one of my favorite colors, but now I am starting to hate it.
