In the greater Tri-State area...

NEW YORK GOVERNOR
The first New York gubernatorial debate has been had. By those who watched the events live from Cornell University, John Faso was the clear winner. The debate centered on only a handful of ideas - but they are big enough and important enough to demonstrate the clear divide between the commonsense Faso and the liberal radical Spitzer.

On taxes - Faso will implement an entire range of tax cuts. Spitzer's plan feigns tax reduction in one area but the overall effect is an increase in additional areas.

On abortion - Spitzer termed Faso "extreme" because he believes that Partial Birth Abortion is morally wrong.

On marriage - Spitzer is on the record, pledging to sign into law New York's first marriage redefinition bill the moment it hits his desk. Spitzer wants to change the definition of marriage that has been held for over 2000 years. Faso stood firmly against redefining marriage.

Faso is an accomplished leader and needs and deserves your help. Help him today...

NEW JERSEY - U.S. SENATE
Already brewing over with scandal the U.S. Senate race in New Jersey is producing more bad news and more legal woes for Democratic incumbent Bob Menendez. In the most recent poll Tom Kean is ahead 44% to 36% among all voters, and 44% to 38% among likely voters. This has only increased since Labor Day - and for any GOP candidate to be ahead in September at all is a miracle. Some are saying that Kean's support is largely from disaffected Independents and Democrats who are just fed up with state corruption that the Democratic Party is swimming in. And if that's the case then the latest headline doesn't help Democrats at all.

Menendez's corruption scandal has engulfed many of the state headlines over the issue of a North Hudson County housing project that Menendez was landlord of. Menendez took over $360,000 in rent from the organization while simultaneously working in Congress to secure $9.6 million in federal funds. An effort he enriched himself personally from.

While the campaign has been playing "put out the fire" in recent days, the drip, drip, drip of the facts of additional corruption keep coming out - like this morning in the Bergen Record.

Tom Kean Jr. is running on ethics reform - an issue he has championed in the state legislature. His vote would also be an important one in support of winning the war against terror, reducing taxes, opposing partial birth abortion, and confirming judges. Kean is in the final stretch of a campaign that he can and should win... and with your help - he can.

NEW YORK - U.S. SENATE
You HAVE to love John Spencer - the man running against Hillary Clinton - is an old school New Yorker, former mayor of Yonkers (a predominantly democrat town) - who just likes to "tell it like it is..."

As I was traveling back to New York on the book tour yesterday, CNN was playing in the airport, Hillary's soundclip defending Bill in her stiff and very unnatural way kept playing over and over. At one point, unable to control myself, I had to let loose in whisper's strength, "please shut up."

In a loud voice from down the row of seats came, "YES PLEASE!"

A fellow New Yorker then confided to me that he was so sick of watching the "Clinton two-step."

This is basically the raw emotion, and expression that John Spencer embodies. A hard working, life long New Yorker, who is pointing out that though Hillary came to NY and made lots of promises - she hasn't kept them.

And as a former Mayor of a largely democrat town, Spencer was able to run Yonkers from poverty into prosperity with lower taxes, pro-business intiatives that created local investment and increased the job market.

The problem that Hillary and Spitzer both have on their hands is that their policies of increased taxes and a basic anti-business position has caused major economic forces to uproot and take their operations either across the Hudson River, or worse yet - across the country.

It's obvious why Hillary won't debate Spencer, he speaks to much common sense and his ability to "tell it like it is" would never sit well with the ultra micro-managed image that Hillary is dependent upon to keep her facade in place. Join Spencer and kill Hill's Thrill!

CONNECTICUT - U.S. SENATE
Whatever the Kos crazies thought they had accomplished in kicking Joe Lieberman to the road in the Democratic primary - it has been firmly erased.

To be clear, I disagree with Lieberman on probably 7 out of 10 issues, maybe 8 out of 10. But I will admit to know that the Senator at least understands the tremendous evil we are facing in the world-wide global war on Islamo-Fascists brings my much more comfort than silly city-councilman Ned who understands nothing of the threat.

Joe-mentum is up 10 in the latest poll...
