If you talk to a little girl around Christmastime, their wish lists will all be similar: baby dolls, dollhouses, play kitchens, dress up clothes... But there is an organization out there this Christmas season that would like to suck all the femininity and girlyness out of the holiday. " PinkStinks is a campaign and social enterprise that challenges the culture of pink which invades every aspect of girls' lives."
PinkStinks claims to desire to raise “happy, self-confident people unhindered by narrow and damaging messages about what it is to be a girl or a boy." These "narrow and damaging messages" can apparently be summed up in the color pink because apparently " pink dresses, kitchen toys, dollhouses and other playthings rendered strictly in rosy hues teach girls early that they have different roles than boys." What PinkStinks fails to recognize is that there is a drastic difference between being responsible when picking out toys for girls and shunning anything that is gender specific. For example, I believe that dolls should be age-appropriate in their dress. I won't be buying a three year old a Barbie with a mini-skirt and thigh high leather boots. But using discernment when purchasing gifts, does not mean that I will boycott toy companies until they make all their toys gender-neutral. Pinkstinks, on the other hand, thinks that all things pink represent " outdated gender roles." When did toys that represent motherhood become outdated? Last time I checked, the majority of girls are born with the capacity and instinct to bear children. Hopefully, most of them grow up with a loving mother that they want to emulate by pretending to change their baby doll's diaper or talk on or by putting on dress up clothes. Pinkstinks, however, believes that girls would only want to do "feminine" or "maternal" activities because of a skewed social perspective and not because they just might want to be "like Mom." PinkStinks also believes that toys aimed at girls " definitely lead to lower pay and status than the other." That's a great ideal to instill in girls: "Choose your path in life based on what will bring you the most money and personal glory." Really? If the world ran by that standard we would have no mothers, no pastors, no missionaries, no organizers of homeless shelters or food banks, no military personnel. It is not a toy companies job to prepare toddlers for future career paths by restricting the type of toys they get for Christmas. I believe there is something innate in girls that make us enjoy playing with baby-dolls and pretending to be princesses that goes much deeper than the pink branding of toys. When my friends and I played outside when we were kids, the boys and girls did a lot of the same thing: jump on the trampoline, ride bikes, run through the sprinklers. But when we invented our own games, the boys were the ones who turned sticks into guns and us girls made soup out of mud. It wasn't because we had been brainwashed by having pink and blue toys. It was because that's what we wanted to play. PinkStinks may think that if girls play with a tool kit or a monster truck they may grow up to be wealthier or more successful, but I hope girls get whatever they really want this Christmas...not what some cyber-action campaign wants...even if it comes in a pink package.

Romney supporters have clucked all week about how the vastly distorted and dishonestly misrepresented facts in the case of cop-killer Maurice Clemmons were the fault of Gov. Mike Huckabee. Yet none of those critics had the guts to talk to the Governor directly. So in this national radio exclusive, Fox News host, Radio Commentator, and former Governor Mike Huckabee sits down with Stephen Baldwin & Kevin McCullough to take your calls and to answer the questions that set the record straight. Prominent bloggers and silly fill-in talk hosts (that seemed pervertedly in love with the words, "put a bullet in his head") need to listen in, pay attention, and report honestly. 800.345.9622. Days: 130 Miles Walked: 357 As the fall evenings are giving way to winter nights one of the distinct advantages of having a six month old puppy is the enjoyment that comes from taking our walks together. Miles go by, master and pet connected by a leash that hangs loose, bonded one with the other, but nary a word spoken of dialogue. The communication between the two of them is far more instinctual. Winston the boxer mix puppy indicates that its time for the two to go get their exercise and for the next 15-30 minutes is lost in thought, while making the body stronger. On chilly nights in metro New York one sees the full moon (like tonight) and are reminded how much light reflects off of it as we can easily see the road, yards, vehicles, piles of leaves, and the occasional other dog and owner out for their nightly ritual as well. It's on nights just like this one, bundled with gloves, leash, mag lite, leather jacket, and sometimes a fitted wool baseball cap that I can get genuinely lost in thought. Winston seldom minds, never argues, and is so grateful for the company he has for his nightly laps around the four nearest blocks to our home. The circumference of which ads up almost exactly to an even mile. Here's how tonight's adventure went... 6:55pm - "The Panel" is just concluding on Fox News Channel... before the humor cut/final segment comes on Winston and I are out the door. We stop in our own yard to care for his business thus preventing me from needing to worry about "bagging" the undesirables and be forced to carry them with me on our journey. Quickly he is ready to walk and my thoughts turn to the "business" of what Tiger Woods is dealing with tonight. In steady marital counseling for all of three days and everyone from "brand managers" to "golf columnists" are weighing in on whether he would survive. My thoughts turn to something different given the fact that my wife and I are at 20 weeks in our first viable pregnancy: "What about the kids?" Tiger has the time, the material resources, and the ability to save his marriage. Will he? My thoughts on what it does to rip a mommy and or a daddy away from a child is horrifying. As the cold nips my ears, I'm glad that Tiger is attempting to put it back together. (we've rounded the first block) My thoughts transition to my last column at Fox News, I wonder how its doing today after grabbing the cover slot for the last two days. A check of my iPhone's web ap shows that it's got 231 comments (most on the opinion page) and I'm suspecting is one of the most read for the past 48 hours. And that sucks me into the concerns I have for America's safety. 5 of the 6 bloodiest and deadliest months in the 8 YEAR operation in Afghanistan have come on the watch of this administration 4 of those months coming during the waiting period for President Obama to make up his mind. Also turns out that the administration quietly tried to "juice" the West Point cadets to get them to respond "with enthusiasm" to the President's speech. I grin in the cold night air because I remember seeing the cadets sleeping as cameras panned. I also think Chris Matthews' should be kicked in the teeth for calling the men and women of West Point, "the enemy camp." (end of block two and the moon is shining brightly down on us through the trees) But thinking of recklessly inept news media... my mind jumps back to something I observed on Special Report with Bret Baier tonight: None of the mainstream media outlets have run a single story on the evidence that Global Warming enthusiasts doctored evidence, lied about the data, fired interns whose research did not match their theories, and attempted to rub out scientists who dissented--based on evidence. How is that not news? I wonder... And then I ask Winston... He sneezes. My feelings exactly. How can we even begin to think that global warming is occurring when the evidence says we've been cooling since 1998? (turning onto block three) But not to worry the White House has much bigger things to worry about... Like using executive priviledge to keep the social secretary from having to testify before Congress.Sure there's some debate over whether or not the White House should be a secure location, but heck why would Senators want to keep the place from being infiltrated by party crashers... Silly guys... (home stretch and Winston's little legs are just chugging along) As we start for home I know that shortly I will be back in our warm, cozy, Christmas-decked living room. I know that earlier today I had the chance to be with the Lovely Bride as we went to her 20 week Ultrasound. With the new 3D and as highly developed as the ultrasound technology is, its an earlier point in the pregnancy now when a couple can marvel at the unborn child's life, that he/she is already living with such gusto -- even at 20 weeks. No wonder the next generation is turning its back on abortion... And that brings a smile to my face, because I do see amazing things ahead for those in the position to take the leadership reigns next. And tonight I hope that the common sense of things like ultrasounds prove to them the value of life at an earlier and earlier point in their own thinking. That's the kind of common sense that is absent noticably in Washington, and we sure do need some. Ah... another mile down, and Winston was right, he and I both feel better... Track KMC 24/7

Will be ready for the firepower... will they? At 9am EST I return to my normal Fox News gig. The last two weeks having given up my slot so that the lovely Monica Crowley could slip in with Harris, I'm ready to be back at it. I've got bones to pick and I hope that Ms. H let's us go at it. The President's speech was confusing, ill tempered, and defensive. I'm reading it as an open invite to our enemies to come do us in in 2011. As to the other topic I hope we cover... I will defend Gov Huck if the topic emerges. The slander, the lies, the misrepresentations, the deceptions... all that started in 2004 through a whispering campaign that began in camp Romney and then moved to National Review, then to Coulter, then Limbaugh, now Malkin, Drudge, and numbers of others has got to stop. And if given a chance to speak the truth, I will make it clear. All in all... it should be a fabulous hour join us at 9am EST simply by clicking here.

"Let me be clear... the terrorists can win." -------------------------------------------------------- Yours truly has scored the cover story for FoxNews at the present moment (Opinion section), and I've taken on the President's speech with some analysis. Would love to know your thoughts: When President Barack Obama addressed the cadets at West Point and the American people in a prime time television address he did so with immense expectations on his plate Tuesday night. After all, how would he explain the fact that it took five months to claim that his strategy "was not 'wavering'" from his own policy as it was expressed in March of this very year? President Obama's lengthy speech on Tuesday night was a bag of confusion, poorly defined terms, badly defined objectives and even less overall clarity. In one sentence President Obama proclaimed that the effort in Afghanistan was the greatest threat to peace for the worldwide community and in the next sentence he declared the deadline by which the military objectives must be completed. Message to the terrorists? Wait it out. Blend in. Pretend to be a non-terrorist until July of 2011, then all will be well.

Prosecutors: "No Objections" It is important to point out that details are vital to narrative. One of the major details that Conservative haters of Gov. Huckabee have spewed far and wide over the past 24 hours is that Huckabee pressured the parole board in the case of Maurice Clemmons and that the prosecutor in the case objected (in some reports "vehemently".) Only problem is... none of it is true. The Parole Board RECOMMENDED to Gov. Huckabee the commutation of the 108 year sentence to 40 years. (Remember the only crimes Clemmons had committed at that point were the theft of a cell phone (from an unoccupied house), a purse, and possession of a gun. Minor offenses all. The Judge in the case was one of the people that Gov. Huckabee reached out to at the time to request his thoughts on the commutation request. The Judge responded to the Governor's inquiry by ENDORSING the recommendation of the parole board. The Prosecutor in the case was sent a request to weigh in as well. He never responded. But today, speaking by phone to Dave Schmidt, Prosecuting Attorney Larry Jegley: Both mainstream and new media have falsely stated that prosecutors objected to Huckabee’s sentence reduction although I just got off the phone with Pulaski County (the county involved) prosecutor Larry Jegley who said of whether Huckabee had received an objection from him, “I am sure he didn’t receive an objection”. He said that he would have objected but that his office does not have record of receiving a notice that Huckabee was looking for comment regarding clemency for Maurice Clemmons. I asked him if it was common to not receive notices and he said it was, “not common”. I asked him if he gets notified after the fact that a clemency takes place and he said that he does get notified. I asked him why he did not object to the clemency documentation (which you can view here) showing that he had no objection and he said it would not have mattered to Huckabee whether he objected or not. I asked him if thought there was a problem with the Arkansas notification system because he claims that he did not receive notification of the proposed clemency. He said that he did not believe there was a problem with the system and that he usually received notification.
Numbers of conservative bloggers have wrongfully asserted that objections existed from the Prosecuting attorney. He did not. And these bloggers/media NEED to correct the record: LATimes as of 9:12AM PST 12/1/2009: Under the sympathetic questioning of commentator Bill O’Reilly, Huckabee said he granted Clemmons’ clemency request — one of 1,200 that crossed his desk annually — because of Clemmons’ young age at the time of his conviction and the severity of his sentence. He said prosecutors never contacted him, though they did lodge a protest with the state parole board. FACT: The protest by prosecutors was in regards to giving Clemmon parole. This objection came AFTER Huckabee’s actions. Michelle Malkin as of 9:12AM PST 12/1/2009: The man being sought by police was granted clemency by former GOP Arkansas Mike Huckabee despite his violent history and vehement protestations from prosecutors and victims’ family members. FACT: Prosecutors did not lodge objection to Huckabee’s actions as I have proven above. As for protests of “victims’ family members”, I see no record of that in official documents. Malkin needs to source her statement here for it to have credibility. Considering that the other part of the sentence is blatantly false, what credibility does that give her? I don't have much confidence in the Los Angeles Times doing much right by way of integrity, but I do expect that Michelle will gladly set the record straight as she has never had any interest or desire to false report information, nor falsely malign someone she knew the facts to be differently on. Cop-Killer??? A little bit of light needs to be shed on a funny little thing called FACTS as it pertains to the issues surrounding the suspected cop-killer Maurice Clemmons. Shamefully prominent voices in the Conservative punditocracy (mostly ones who supported Romney in the last go-round) have come out attempting to link Gov. Mike Huckabee to the killings in Seattle that took the lives of four police officers. Most of these spared little thought for the families, and jumped right into the band-wagon in denouncing Huck as soft on crime, and a friend to criminals, or a bleeding heart Christian. (Funny how the mainstream always accuses Christians of not having a heart.) All that being said, these Conservative pundits are wrong on the material substance in linking the two and if they continue to do so it says more about their own character than that of the former Governor. Yes Gov. Huckabee commuted a 100 year sentence for a person who was a minor when he committed a series of burglaries. He commuted it all the way down to 40 years. But let's get some facts straight: 1. That commutation did not pardon, declare innocent or acquit Clemmons of his wrong doing. 2. Clemmons remained on parole following his commutation and when he violated that parole he was brought in for those crimes. (At this point in time, Huckabee's involvement with Clemmons was over.) 3. It was prosecutorial malfeasance that THEN allowed Clemmons to walk free, NOT a Huckabee commutation. 4. Sometime after that incident Clemmons moves to Washington State, and by all signs possible, lives the life of a model citizen. 5. After that 5-6 year stretch of time Clemmons begins to have skirmishes with Washington State authorities. 6. In Washington State there is a 3 strike law. Which means that when accumulating serious offenses in that state, the third time will incur automatic sentencing that can not be altered. 7. The child-rape Clemmons was most recently charged with was considered his 3rd strike IN WASHINGTON. While putting together a brief history of Clemmons rap sheet here's how one journalist described it: Maurice Clemmons, 37, drifted in and out of the Pierce County Jail four times this year, most recently Tuesday, when he bailed out pending a trial on charges of third-degree assault, malicious mischief and second-degree child rape. The victim in the rape case was a female relative. Clemmons has a long history of violent offenses, including crimes against police officers in Arkansas and Pierce County, according to public records and news accounts. Clemmons has not been arrested or charged in the Lakewood police officers’ deaths. Sheriff’s deputies say he was seen in the area of the shootings Sunday morning. His last known address is about two miles from the scene – a five-minute drive. Those factors, coupled with his record of scuffles with police, led investigators to hunt for him. Court records show Clemmons began acting strangely in May, when the incidents related to local charges against him took place. Family members told police about his strange behavior. “He reportedly thinks he can fly away and at one point was found in the backyard jumping,” a sheriff’s report states. “He says that he is the Messiah and he is going to save the world. He talks about President Obama coming to confirm that he is the Messiah in the flesh.” The assault charge stemmed from a May 9 incident in the 13100 block of 12th Avenue South. The report said Clemmons and two associates were breaking car windows along a street. Court records say a Pierce County deputy arrived and tried to arrest the two accomplices, who fought back. During the struggle, Clemmons emerged from a house and joined in the fight, punching the deputy in the face. A second deputy arrived, and the three men were arrested. Jail records indicate Clemmons bailed out of jail May 11. He was charged with multiple counts of third-degree assault and malicious mischief. A subsequent investigation revealed the child-rape allegations; in July they became criminal charges. Clemmons was ordered to undergo a mental evaluation in November. He was ruled competent to stand trial on the charges. At the same time, a court ruling noted that the child-rape charge would be treated as a possible third strike under Washington sentencing laws. That meant Clemmons, if convicted, might spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole. His trial is set to start in January.
Oh yes... A couple more facts for the Huckabee-hating crowd. 1. Police have not yet even charged (nor caught) Clemmons as of yet. He certainly has yet to be tried for the murders of the four police officers. 2. He has been in and out of jail 4 times this year alone. For Conservatives to implicate Huckabee in the deaths of these officers is shameful. But its worse than that... it's dishonest. Dishonesty has no place in conservative politics. It's what we expect of liberals. Gov. Huckabee is a nice target for many in the conservative world because their guy didn't win in 2008. But the guy that came the closest to grabbing it behind the nominee that ultimately DID win... is leading all polls at the moment for the Republican nomination, and the elitists-smarter-than-everyone-else-in-the-room crowd in the Conservative world is all too eager to malign a good man.
It is wrong and it should stop.
It's what we expect of Keith Olberman... SO STOP IT!

Several months ago, Kevin highlighted the s chool that had elementary-age children singing a chant to President Obama. Apparently the political themed songs are still popular. This week, mother and New York Post columnist Andrea Peyser heard her daughter singing " . . . You can hear the warning -- GLOBAL WARMING . . . " around the house. According to Andrea: A) All the kids had been coerced into singing this catchy ditty, which we called "The Warming Song," at a concert for parents. B) Further song lyrics scolded selfish adults (that would be us) for polluting our planet and causing a warming scourge that would, in no short order, kill all the polar bears and threaten the birds and bees. C) There was no deprogramming session on the menu. And no arguing allowed. When did schools become breeding grounds for political platforms? There are a lot of important things to learn during those elementary years: reading, writing, numbers, how to share your crayons....But memorizing lyrics to a song promoting a scientific myth is not relevant to a child's education. A simple song performed at a school concert may not seem like a big deal, but I still remember a geography song my mom made me listen to which taught me the names of all the states and capitols....and that was 15 years ago. That song was helpful and to this day I can still remember that Phoenix is the capitol of Arizona. "The Warming Song" will not have the same helpful results. Is it really important for today's schoolchildren to "remember" a song that scares them into thinking the world is melting? "Producer Laurie David told Publisher's Weekly that she wrote the kids' book, "Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming," because " kids also are the Number 1 influence on their parents, so if you want to reach the parents, go to the kids." I believe the highly influential nature of children while they are at this young age has been taken advantage of in order to promote an agenda of fear that has been morphed into a catchy tune.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve... Tonight I hit the airwaves pitching relief for Crane Durham host of "Nothing But Truth" on AFR Talk. We will take your calls on the events of the day and of the week, here's some of what I have planned: 1. Who wants to get in line for part of their trillion dollar refund that we've been robbed of for promoting the "Global Warming" hoax for the last decade? 2. What has happened to our Global Stature in the world? Is it better or worse than it used to be? And why do you believe it is or isn't? 3. Is it ok, even GOOD for a homosexual rock star to discuss his sexuality in magazine interviews, or put it on display on ABC? Adam Lambert is suffering the consequences for having done so. And the parting question... who has done more damage recently Prejean or Lambert? 4. And finally... how do you give thanks amidst the mess of our world this year? You will hear from one expectant father who tells you his secrets... You can watch the broadcast here, and join the live chat room - LIVE 5-7pm EST:

"He betrayed this country... He played on our fears..." Well he and a few other high ranking "scientists" who have now been exposed to have conspired, colluded, and criminally lie about the claims of global warming, going back for years now. Isn't it convenient that off these lies Al Gore's own pockets got lined big time with his entire "carbon credits" system where "offending" parties could buy their redemption by writing a check to... Al Gore... He lied. He got famous for it. He won a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Nobel prize for it. He got rich off of it... but it doesn't make it any less a lie. Al Gore did betray this country, took advantage of those who believed him, and we now have thousands of pages of the smarter-than-everyone-else "scientists" who put it all together confessing their sins. Not publicly... but to one another... when they didn't think anyone else was looking.

All that glitters? We were so inundated with this rhetorical garbage during the campaign of how terrible America's standing in the world was. (Which was farcical all along given the landslide sea change that had happened in Britain, Germany, and France during the Bush years moving from strongly anti-U.S. incumbencies to prime ministers who were strongly pro-American.) But let's keep track of President I'm-better-than-everyone-else Obama: 1. Goes to Cairo and gives a speech equating Islamic values to American values 2. Offends our British allies by giving tasteless gifts to the Queen (an iPod of his own speeches), the Prime Minister (a set of DVD's literally purchased from the White House gift shop of 25 American movies... in the wrong format to even be played in Britain... and the British people by returning the bust of Winston Churchill that they had given us in the aftermath of 9.11. 3. Glad hands Hugo Chavez at a South American summit and accepts a gift from him. 4. Sides with Castro and Chavez against the people of Honduras as the tiny nation's government attempted to enforce Constitutional law against a President who was attempting to become a dictator. 5. Kicks Israel in the teeth... several times. 6. Bows to the Saudi King. 7. Bows to the Japanese Emperor. 8. Bows to the Chinese Premiere. 9. Makes repeated concessions to Iran. 10. Offends Germany in not going to the anniversary of the felling of the Berlin wall... ironically a place he stopped to campaign from. 11. Takes so long to decide what to do in Afghanistan that our allies who desperately needed our leadership to remain strong are now fighting PR battles back in their homeland just to be able to continue to stand with us... Barack Obama suffers an enormous deficit of clarity, and its getting ugly... Track KMC 24/7
