A CBS Reporter was gang raped/sexually assaulted in the midst of the "freedom protests" in Cairo this past week. She even had security with her when it happened. She and her group were surrounded by a mob of 200 and she was ultimately separated and attacked. The news agencies are running the headline this morning, but larger questions exist. Ron Paul made a big hullabaloo about how he was able to stop the Patriot Act from being extended, when he appeared at CPAC last week. But er... guess what... it just passed the House last night. There was a lot said about a homosexual group participating at CPAC this year. Scarily I wonder if this isn't the same approach taken by the church. Controversial figure Ann Coulter, proclaims herself a "born again, evangelical" and "someone who loves the gays" and she says that the co-opting of those voters who choose to engage in homosexuality by the left is a similar crime to what the left has done to women and blacks. My friend and President of Focus on the Family Jim Daly has announced a supposedly "controversial" strategy to make abortions more rare in their application. He has offered to work with pro-abortion groups, who claim to desire to make them rare as well. Will it work? Will the pro-abortion forces work together to make abortion rare? 1. From one end of the nation to another, Baldwin reports live from the Grammys. And KMC has just returned from his jaunt to CPAC. And there is sooo much to talk about. CPAC straw poll results came down this afternoon and for the second year in a row an unelectable fellow by the name of Ron Paul has won. Mitt Romney, the guy who finished third in 2008, finished second-for the second year in a row, and third place went to Gary Johnson who is pro-pot and pro-redefining marriage to include homosexual unions. 2. This year the "libertarian elements" in attendance at CPAC, insulted the former Vice President accusing him of being a war criminal. In a move whereby 26 states had combined together to form a majority of the United States challenging the constitutionality of the Obamacare legislation signed into law in 2010, a judge has agreed and voided the entire law. The options are now for the other cases to work their way through the appellate court system, or for the justices to reach down and grab the issue now and issue a ruling. Which would you prefer? The leaders of several nations spent Sunday attempting to convince Hosni Mobarak to step down from his post as Egypt's President and to begin democratic reforms as soon as possible. From your perspective do you think what we are seeing is an attempt at genuine democratic freedom, or the attempt by terrorists of the region to dismantle and ally of the U.S.? Much is riding on the outcome of several nations' protests taking place in the Middle East right now. Many of them centering on the idea of democratic reforms. A new Ohio State University study makes some interesting claims after carefully following 112 families with children aged 4: "Results showed that couples had a stronger, more supportive co-parenting relationship when the father spent more time playing with their child," the press release says. "But when the father participated more in caregiving -- like preparing meals for the child or giving baths -- the couples were more likely to display less supportive and more undermining co-parenting behavior toward each other."
